Gorse Cottage is superbly located in the beautiful village of Withypool in the heart of Exmoor National Park. The cottage is well equipped with a spacious sitting room with wood burning stove & a light and airy kitchen diner. French doors open from the kitchen onto the patio area at the back of the cottage where there is a patio table and chairs. There are three bedrooms. The king size master bedroom with ensuite is on the ground floor. The ensuite comprises a bath with shower. Upstairs there are two further bedrooms. One is a twin bedroom and the other bedroom has zip link beds giving the flexibility for another twin or a kingsize bed as required. These bedrooms share a family shower-room. There is also a separate downstairs WC. The property benefits from an enclosed garden.

Gorse Cottage was a perfect base for exploring Exmoor and surrounds. Most places no more than half an hour drive from the cottage including Lynton/Lynmouth and Minehead. Very clean, comfortable with everything we needed, Gorse cottage felt like a home away from home. Withypool itself...More

This cottage is lovely. Clean, comfortable with a lovely big kitchen/diner perfect for a relaxing holiday. Withypool is well situated with a river running through which is great for paddling in the summer. There is easy access to Devon, Exmoor and all that that entails....More

There is much to see and do on Exmoor.

Tarr Steps is a beautiful spot and is home to the longest clapper bridge of its kind in Britain and is a lovely walk along the river from Withypool.

Dunkery Beacon is worth a visit. It is the highest point on Exmoor with views over the moor and the Bristol Channel.

Dulverton is about 15 minutes drive and is close to where the Rivers Exe and Barle meet.

Dunster is a medieval village dominated since the late 11th century by its castle and boasting over 200 listed buildings.

Airport: Exeter: 70.0 km
Railway: Tiverton Parkway: 47.0 km
Directions: Leave the M5 at Junction 27 for Tiverton & Barnstaple on the A361. Then take the A396 to Dulverton. From Dulverton take the B3223 to Lynton & Minehead and follow this road for approximately 8 miles until you reach a crossroad signposted to Withypool on your left. Drive through the village past the pub, the church and the village stores all on your right. Follow the road over the bridge crossing the river and pass the carpark on your right and then take the first road on your right (signposted South Molton). Gorse Cottage is immediately on your left.
