Additional amenities & feature info
The Barn is a 4* Gold Award property that sleeps 6 guests. All families and babies are welcome - it is a pet free cottage. Recently refurbished with new oak flooring, new bathroom and upgraded lamps showing off the beautiful beams in this stunning timber-framed, grade two listed building. Step through the entrance hall and into the extremely well-equipped kitchen (with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and mini freezer). The comfortable and inviting living room has a 40' flat screen TV and DVD player. The dining area has a beautifully hand-made iron legged table and matching chairs, seating six very comfortably. A high chair and travel cot may easily be provided. Master Bedroom - There is a super king size bed in the ground floor bedroom. The sizeable en-suite bathroom has a large bath and separate shower as well as wc and sink. There are two staircases, one leads upstairs to a twin-bedded room and the other to a double bedroom with a bathroom opposite. Please note there is no shower in this bath because of the surrounding beams. We understand that when you go away you can never really be sure about how well you're going to sleep which is why we have chosen high quality comfortable orthopaedic mattresses made up with Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels. The bedroom/bathrooms are stocked with plenty of hangers, toilet rolls, cotton wool, flannels, locally hand-made lavender soap and a hair-dryer in each bedroom. Fuel is included and our own spring water is supplied to the cottages (tested annually). As the water is pumped from the header tank it gives great water pressure in the showers. In the kitchen you can expect to find extras such as clingfilm, foil, kitchen towel, tea towels, bin liners and all washing up requirements. The sittingrooms have large LCD televisions with side loading DVD player, there are books, maps, games and films to either read, play or watch during your stay.
