We traveled to Harwich to look out family as my father was from Harwich and had met my mum whilst he had been evacuated to Shropshire he came back but they married and he moved up to Shropshire. The Bake house was ideal for us...More

The Bakehouse scores highly on all levels....Centrally located but tucked away behind its own entrance and courtyard. The interior is finished to a high standard all amenities are there , the wet room is spacious, the upstairs bedroom is easily accessed and a door leads...More

Old Harwich has many quality restaurants, wine bars and pubs all within 5 min walk. Harwich and Dovercourt has always been a holiday destination, probably more since Victorian times and especially in the fifties and sixties with the original Hi de HI Warners holiday camp. There is always something to see or do, from visiting one of the historic sites of Harwich like The Redoubt Fort, Halfpenny Pier, and Maritime museum Lifeboat museum all open 10am - 5pm daily from May to the end of August in the good weather there are tour guides from the tourist centre on the Halfpenny Pier.
