A warm welcome awaits you at Weavers Cottage- a two-bedroom cottage set within the grounds of Kim & Peter's home, it is situated in the hamlet of Minchington, which is a short walk from the village of Farnham and the local pub, The Museum Inn. Come and unwind for a few days!.. The cottage has two bedrooms upstairs: one with a 5-foot double bed, the other a standard size double bed; there is a bathroom with a heated towel rail and an airy hall between the bedrooms. Downstairs comprises of a large open plan living room, which has a lovely log-burner, the kitchen has a fun Smeg Union Jack fridge and a nespresso coffee machine, with a door leading to the downstairs shower-room, which also benefits from a heated towel rail. You, as a staying guest (maximum 4 people) also have use of the barn, where you can experience a cinema style film (plenty of DVDs are available) & an honesty bar… If you want to use the barn for a function, and invite family & friends - pricing for individual funtions can be discussed with Kim. The option is there to hire the barn, with use of trestle tables, tablecloths, napkins, crockery, glasses & cutlery. Kim can also cater for the function. It is a self-catered cottage, BUT Kim can offer a home-cooked meal at the end of your day, the cost for a 2-course meal is £25 per head - menus can be discussed at the time of your stay. The cottage is an ideal base to explore the beautiful Cranborne Chase area, including The Larmer Tree; The North Dorset Cycleway passes by the cottage; Gold Hill in Shaftesbury, and numerous walks, detailed ordnance survey maps are kept in the cottage. The coast is easily accessible too… The Jurassic Coast, Poole Harbour & Brownsea Island, Studland. Other attractions within 30 minutes are: Old Wardour Castle, Salisbury Cathedral, Kingston Lacy House & the New Forest. Slightly further afield, but only an hour away, you can visit Bath, Stonehenge & Corfe CastleMore

"Lovely weekend away with the family"

Nestled in the countryside

Wonderful cottage, well equipped and very comfortable, across from owners home, who were very helpful and friendly. We had the use of the barn, do see their website for pics and details, a must......great to chill out with fab TV! Great location, not too far...More

Excellent location to visit Dorset and beyond

Five star stay. Wonderful location, lovely cottage. The surrounding area was wonderful, showing Dorset off in all its splendour, from cottages in nearby villages to stately homes. We were made very welcome by our hosts and enjoyed a lovely home cooked meal prepared by Kim....More
