St Pancras is the lovingly restored old church situated on the beautiful Rousdon Country Estate, near Lyme Regis set amidst 350 acres of parkland. A Grade ll listed building formally the church for the estate. There are lovely amenity walks for the residents, including access to private beach. The Church has been restored by the new owners to an exceptionally high standard and is situated in its own grounds overlooking the lake and parkland with glimpses of the sea beyond. The property is very old with wonderful features that have been preserved by Natural England, but please bear in mind that some of these quirky characteristics may make it unsuitable for some people e.g. one stone spiral staircase is narrow and quite steep. Additional amenities & feature info
The property consists of a traditional entrance porch leading into the large open-plan living room, dining area and kitchen. The sitting area has a comfortable sofa (not shown), chairs and a log burner (logs supplied). Originally this would have been the knave and altar area. There are two staircases, one leading to the mezzanine, a double bedroom that has a spectacular reinforced glass balcony overlooking the ground floor. The Kitchen has fully fitted oak units and is fully equipped with full-size fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave etc and the old “emu house”, (yes it did hold emus!) houses the washing machine, and is a useful “boot room” for muddy boots, coats etc after long walks in the grounds or fossil hunting on the beach! The former Vestry, the double bedroom, is accessed via a stone spiral staircase – not suitable for Friar Tuck!! The ground floor bedroom is light and airy with twin beds

We loved St Pancras so much when we visited in 2017, that we went back again this year! Happily we were not disappointed. The house is immaculately clean, with a vase of flowers and card to welcome us back from Anne, the owner. The attention...More

Thank you for your kind words, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We appreciate your comments regarding the bed on the mezzanine floor. This has now been replaced with a new king-size.

Had a wonderful time here. The photos don’t do it justice. Beautiful building, peaceful & spacious private estate. Comfortable & ideal for a break from busy lives these days. Everything you could want from a quiet break, very convenient for Lyme Regis.
