This detached house is in Kirkby Stephen and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Oscar House is a detached house in the Cumbrian town of Kirkby Stephen. The cottage sleeps four people in upside down accommodation with two ground floor bedrooms, a double and a twin, next to a family bathroom. On the first floor is a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with a Juliet balcony. Outside is off road parking and am enclosed lawned garden and patio. Just a couple of minutes' walk from the town centre, Oscar House is a superb base for discovering the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Amenities: Gas central heating. Note: No children under 5 due to banister and stairs being open to kitchen. Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination. Town: Situated at the foot of the Howgill Fells in the upper Eden Valley is the old market town of Kirkby Stephen. Set between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks this traditional market town hosts a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, catering for every taste and budget. With a thriving local community and many traditional old dwellings, Kirkby Stephen boasts a large number of cobbled old yards, quaint corners and a pretty picnic area called Frank's Bridge, whilst just a mile from the town is the old railway station on the Settle to Carlisle Railway line. Visitors can enjoy many excellent walks and cycle routes nearby or explore the magnificent Howgill Fells and the majestic Pendragon Castle.
