Very comfortable, convenient house, very well organised.
This was a lovely, warm, comfortable cottage - in the damp Irish climate, good heating is very important year-round. The agency "Imagine Ireland" was very easy to work with, and went to considerable trouble to answer any questions and resolve one small issue I had. the surrounding area is beautiful, and this cottage makes holidaying there very easy. Very happy to recommend it.

Excellent accommodation, location and value for money
This holiday accommodation was much better than we expected from the description and photos on the website. Booking was easy, directions and access to the property were simple and no security deposit was required. The house was spacious, bright and clean and situated in a quiet, rural area. It was located just off the N25 and some traffic was audible but in no way detracted from the peaceful setting of the house. There was ample off-road parking in the driveway. Pets were welcome at the property, which was a selling point for us, as we were able to bring our German Shepherd, who enjoyed free run of the very large garden. It was secure apart from a small but significant gap in the front boundary wall which we managed to block off with tree branches. We had no immediate neighbours which made the property very private. The garden was secluded and most of it got full sun all day. As the weather was very good, we were able to spend a lot of time outside sunbathing, playing games, and eating outdoors. A couple of sun loungers would have been welcome. There was also a camp fire base and plenty of logs available from the wooded area within the garden, so that we were able to enjoy barbequeing and sitting around the fire in the evening.
Indoors, the kitchen was well equipped and the large rustic dining table accommodated the 6 of us well with plenty of leg- and elbow room. It was a bonus to have a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave available. Unfortunately the toaster was a bit temperamental and 2 of the 4 slots didn't work. Also, there was no ice cube tray in the freezer. There was an ironing board, iron, clothes pegs and a rotary clothes line in the garden. The kitchen led out on to a patio area with an outdoor table with parasol and 4 chairs for eating al fresco.
The living room was well furnished, bright and comfortable with good seating for 6. The TV worked well but unfortunately the DVD player built in to it did not work at all. There were plenty of books, games and toys provided for guests' use. There was no internet access in the house but this was just a minor inconvenience. The property owners have provided a visitors' handbook with useful information about the local area.
The bedrooms were a good size and well furnished, with comfortable beds. There were 4 bedrooms accommodating 8 people in total - one double, one twin, one single, and one with a double bed and single bunk above. Bed linen and towels were provided.
The bathroom was good, with a toilet, wash basin, and bath with electric shower above. There was always plenty of hot water. There was also a second toilet and wash basin just off the kitchen/dining room.
The property was situated about 5 miles from the village of Ardmore, which is where the nearest shops are located. The village has a restaurant, take away, and post office. It also has a beautiful beach. The towns of Dungarvan and Youghal are about 20 minutes' drive away and offer a greater selection of amenities. The city of Cork is about an hour's drive away and is worth a day trip.
We were very please with the property and would highly recommend it to other visitors to the area.
