This is a small thatched cottage in a wonderful location beside the beach and suitable for a couple or a couple with one or two children .......for comfort not more than 4 persons. Additional guests are not allowed for insurance reasons.
Also no parties, family gatherings or other similar events, due to the coronavirus pandemic and insurance reasons
B B Q's are strictly not allowed as this is a THATCHED COTTAGE ....the beach is only 100 yards away so no problem having a BBQ down there .

We found the cottage so cosy and welcoming. It was fresh and clean, and a minutes walk from a beautiful sandy beach, definitely will be returning!

Cozy little cottage
Cozy little cottage with all the amenities. Peaceful and tranquil with plenty of wildlife. Access to beaches left and right of the cottage.
Access by car to beautiful towns and attractions. Bar and restaurants walking distance
Would recommend to friends and family and have no hesitation
in returning to Kiely’s Cottage

Lovely cottage by the sea.
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. It was perfect for two adults and two kids. The cottage is equipped with everything one would need and was spotless on arrival.
It's a very short walk to beautiful beaches and Ardmore. We had fun exploring.
It was lovely to open the half door to the sunshine and wildlife in the morning, as was sitting at the otudoor table to dine or just enjoy the sea air and tranquility of the place.
The cottage is in a very quiet spot. It was very safe for the kids to have fun outside on the grass.
We would highly recommend this cottage as the perfect place to stay to enjoy the area.

Beautiful little Fishermans cottage right on the beach front
On arrival the cottage was in beautiful condition. It was absolutely perfect for our family with 2 young boys. It is positioned on a very quiet lane leading down to the beach which gave the kids huge independence. The beach is exceptional. We spent most of the week there playing in the water and mostly were the only people on the beach. We had some lovely interactions with a very friendly seal.
Kathleen was very helpful with any questions I had and just lovely to meet and chat to. I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a lovely break away and time to relax.

Cute country cottage
The cottage was ideal for our family of four. It's in an excellent location within walking distance to the village and next to two beaches. The washing machine was great to have especially with all the sandy clothes. The views were great from the cottage and we were also near youghal and dungarvan. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Cosy cottage
Had a fantastic 1 week stay in this cosy cottage , although we didn’t get lucky with the weather , the 2 beaches are sooo close that when the sun did pop out we where able to drop everything and take advantage of it … the cottage was very clean and perfect for my wife and 2 kids. Ardmore is only a 15 min walk away across the beach and has everything you need.also the lady who looks after the place was very helpful and checked in with us to make sure everything was to our liking, Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough … only 2 recommendations would maybe be a gate at the front for the road and a outdoor tap for your Sandy feet after the beach. We’ll defo be back

Lovely stay at Kielys Cottage
We really enjoyed our stay at Kielys Cottage,
Cottage well equipped for cooking etc.
beaches really close by and easy to walk and drive to Ardmore.
Neighbors very friendly with a free Library box around the corner.
Saw a corn crake ( rare sight these days) in the back field.
Catherine that met us was sound and made sure we had everything. Tom very helpfull about the booking etc.
Over all perfect holiday even though there was a storm Lorenzo.

Perfect place!
Kiely's Cottage was the perfect cozy little place for our family of three. Our week there featured three days we did not get in the car even once - the Curragh Beach is a two-minute walk from the front door - we never saw more than six other people there, and the tide pools on Black Rock are interesting places to spend a few hours. The walk to Ardmore town itself, across the beach, took us about ten minutes, and it's wonderful. Take the Cliff Walk - more than once: it has different moods in different weathers.
The location is a good base for day trips, too: we visited Hook Head Lighthouse (take the ferry at Passage East - it's fun), Cahir and the Blackwater Valley, and Youghal. A little farther afield, but worth it, is the Barrow Valley. There are many, many other places nearby in Co. Waterford, East Cork, and into Tipp and Kilkenny.
The house itself is cozy and clean and easy to live in for a week or more. There's a clothes washer and a line for drying. The little stove gives good heat and adds to the coziness.
Booking, arrival, and departure were very easy; Mary and Tom were responsive and very nice in their correspondence. Stay here! (but don't pick a time when we want to go back, please)

When you come out of the cottage and turn left... ...its just 100 yards to ' The Curragh Beach ' ..and when you turn right up the laneway , its five mins walk to the main ' Ardmore Blue Flag Beach and another 10 mins across the beach to the Fishing Village itself ,so you are a short walk to the beaches and the Village with hotels, shops, restaurants etc. Local attractions include a 5 km Spectacular CLIFF WALK- giving breath-taking views of the Cliffs and Atlantic Ocean . St Declan’s Monastery- Irelands first Christian settlement founded by St Declan in 416AD before the arrival of the St Patrick in 432AD. Alongside is the very impressive 12th century Round Tower (29 m) situated in a beautiful elevated position overlooking Ardmore Bay.

DUNGARVAN 25 KM. AWAY HAS 'THE WATERFORD GREENWAY'... A SPECTULAR 46 KM WALKING AND CYCLE TRAIL ALONG THE OLD GREAT SOUTHERN RAILWAY LINE FROM DUNGARVAN TO WATERFORD CITY….NOT TO BE MISSED..!!

Coming from Dungarvan on the road to Cork, after about 9 miles you will see a signpost for Ardmore. Don't take this turning, proceed on for a further 4 miles, where you will see another major signpost - this left turn takes you directly Into Ardmore village. When you arrive in the village, take an immediate left turn opposite Quinns shop , continue out on this road for about 1 mile until you reach a little crossroads. Stay with the wider road here, taking the right turn signposted Dungarvan. After about 1/2 mile the road swings sharply to the left. On the angle of the bend take a right turn, then immediately left down a laneway. At the end of the laneway turn right and Kiely’s Cottage is immediately on the right. There is parking directly in front of the cottage.
