A modern beautiful 145 sq.m. house, only one hour from Reykjavik, located in the vicinity of all the main tourist attractions in South Iceland with a panoramic view to Hekla volcano and Eyjafjallajokull glacier. In wintertime it is a good place to experience the northern lights. The house has a beautiful architecture and design with special attention to its surroundings. This is a place to both relax and enjoy the proximity to nature. It is located in a very peaceful area surrounded by birch trees and typical native vegetation with many hiking opportunities in surrounding mountains and canions. The Golden Circle and the famous Geyser geothermal area is only 10 minutes away and the Gullfoss waterfall 10 min away. The house is only 15 min away where the road Kjolur/Kjalvegur starts, a 600-700 high mountain pass in the highlands, located east of Langjokull glacier and west of Hofsjokull glacier, that leads you to the north Iceland.The house is spacious and has all the necessary utensils and comfort for an enjoyable stay. There are two large master bedrooms and two other bedrooms, each with twin beds, accommodating 8 people. Spacious, peaceful and comfortable house in excellent location

7 KM from Geysir, close to Gullfoss and Thingvellin national park. Lovely view from the balcony though the trees to the volcano/glacier (Vatnajökull?). We were lucky enough to see northern lights (... in August!) Enjoyed barbecuing on the Weber grill and chilling in the hot...More

Great Gold Circle Area Stay!

The location of the house was great. Close to Geysir, Gullfoss and Fontana Geo-Thermal pool/bakery. Grocery store - Samkaup only about 12 miles away. The owners were fantastic and helpful. The house beautiful, we enjoyed the hot tub and the spaciousness of the house.

Within 20 km radius you will find Geysir, Gullfoss and Bruarfoss waterfalls, great hiking opportunities, horse rentals, river rafting and many swimming pools and the Fontana Spa. To the north we have the highlands and the road to the interior (four-weel drive)
