Soldotna, Alaska
This is a new cabin, built just one year ago. Sleeping for two people (one up in loft with full-sized bed, one down on ground level single-size bed), it sits just 100-feet from the private lake. Stained-glass entry door window (Orca's and Alaskan mountains!), it also has an imported Italian marble kitchenette top, brass sink and faucet, stained-glass overhead variable dimmer switch light, custom hand-made cabinet and shelving, new carpeting and is spotless! Comes with all silverware, kitchenette eating table at front window. Safe, warm and secure, the view is wonderful, (we have only two other residences on the entire lake!) and it is nature everywhere! Let the loons on the lake at night sing you to sleep. Centrally located (just 10 minutes to town), it is a non-commercial environment and as with our other two facilities and is a st... Read more

We stayed in the upstairs "studio" apt and loved every minute of it. We ate all of our meals out on the front deck with the view of the lake and the other very cute cabins. We constantly scanned for moose on the lake, but...More

About the neighbourhood
We are located just 10-minutes away from the town of Soldotna, Alaska yet, we are in the wilderness! Wildlife abounds! It is a natural environment, very non-commercial atmosphere! No 'hotel-like' rooms or giant lodges here. We have only two other residents on our entire small lake. Hiking, centrally located and easily to drive here with any automobile!. It is all pavement except the last 300 yards to our place. Lined with giant cottonwood, birch and Alaskan black spruce, your drive is easy and please go slow getting here as the Alaskan moose are everywhere! During the day you will get to actually see the Alaskan bush pilots going overhead carrying fishermen, hikers, bear viewers etc. to their wilderness destinations. Just minutes away there is a wilderness fly-out facility and we w... more
