We welcome all peoples. For the fisherman there is bank fishing close by at the State owned Crooked Creek campground. More salmon bank fishing is located on the Anchor River, Ninilchik River and the Kenai River. You can halibut fish in Homer, Ninilichik, Seward or toss your hook in the Cook Inlet five minutes from 'A Hiada-way'. Cook Inlet is also popular for beach walking, picnics, campfires and sun bathing. You often see children splashing in the sea water. The subdivision has a walkable road where you frequently find the locals on foot or on a horse or bicycle. Several hiking trails are nearby in Soldotna and Cooper Landing. Float the Kasilof River with a guide and then walk 150 feet from the new Alaska State owned take-out launch to 'A Hiada-way' where you can cook your salmon in the fully supplied kitchen with an Alaskan recipe provided by your host. We are close enough to the local towns for the convenience of shopping but far enough away to get the wilderness atmosphere. Nearby stores include Safeway/WalMart/IGA Country Foods/Fred Myer etc. plus many sportsman and hardware stores. Freezer available on site for $2/day and washer/dryer on site for $5/load including soap. 'A Hiada-way' is 60 Miles from Homer and a two-hour drive to Seward. • Bathroom with shower • Kitchen with 4 burner stove top with oven, double sink, microwave, toaster, coffee maker • Complete place setting for 6 • Dishwasher • TV with Dish Satellite • Wireless internet Smoking is only allowed outdoors. Ask the host for an ash tray. From the Great Room sliding glass doors step out to a 32 x 20 deck that overlooks the Kasilof River. There is a patio table with chairs and binocular for wildlife watching. Eagles are often perched in trees and on the river bank. In the spring swans, snow geese and cranes rest in the open grass on their way to the North mating grounds. They can be here for days or weeks. This is a safe haven to eat undisturbed. Seagulls mate in the air and lay their eggs. There is often a battle of seagulls bombing eagles in an effort to keep them from eating the eggs and newborn hatchlings. In the fall and winter you will see ducks. cranes and swans. The wild cries of the birds is music to your soul. Year round you will see moose and often baby moose. We do not provide fishing facilities. While our property borders the river we cannot allow guests to use our riverfront access for reasons of logistics and liability. Listed above are nearby spots for fishing access within driving distance. We fish and we can locate a guide for your fishing adventure. We are open year-round and always happy to answer your questions about Alaska. See you soon!! More

About the neighbourhood
The subdivision is located along the banks of the Kasilof River which has an Alaska State owned boat take-out launch. The boat launch has a Summer Host that can help you get familiar with the area. The subdivision is friendly and walkable where locals walk their dogs, ride bikes and horses.
How to get there
A Hiada-way is 12-miles South of Soldotna and then 2.8 miles left on the Kalifornsky Beach Road.< Fly into the Kenai airport and then drive through the town of Kenai and onto Bridge Access Road and turn right on to Kalifornsky Beach Road and drive 15-miles where you turn right on to Satori. Fly into Anchorage International Airport and drive 175 awesome miles to A Hiada-way'. The drive is 3 1/2 hours but you will no doubt take longer with several stops to enjoy the views and picture take.
