Monteverde has one of the best preserved cloud forests in the world. Our house is the widest in the area and has many rooms to share with friends or family groups. Adjoins the forest and sleep up to 21 people.
Unlike the rest of the properties in the area, Guarumo is located in the heart of the cloud forest and contact with nature. You can feel the vibration of the forest, observing many birds and mammals from the balcony of the house itself.
You can visit fabulous restaurants without driving and a few meters from the house just walk to an organic supermarket or a yoga center.
Magical trails within the private grounds of the property takes you to relaxing moment in a hammock by the woods or a delicious hot bath in our hot tub in the garden.

Cloths and linens are included and maid service. Our cleaning staff offer their services daily in the morning or at the end of the stay at the choice of the host. This is a property for the exclusive use of our guests and never rent will be shared with other guests simultaneously to respect privacy.

Amazing space for group!
This place has to be seen to be believed. Beautiful rooms, beautiful yard! Amphitheater, bar, and disco! They were really helpful and hospitable. Recommend highly!

Incredible stay in the Forest
We were a group of 4 adults and 5 teenagers on a vacation in Costa Rica who had the good fortune of booking Casa Guarumo in Monteverde. It is located less than 5 minutes walking to the women's artist co-operative and restaurants plus coffee shop, dairy serving incredible ice cream and an excellent grocery store; about 10 min taxi to town and about 15 min to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve (in other words - perfectly located!)
The house is exceptional! The main area includes a lovely balcony to watch the birds (and monkeys!), a kitchen, dining and living room and an open bedroom. The bathroom here is awesome too. There are two bedrooms (each with en suite bathrooms) just outside the main area. Below there is a bar, eating area and dance floor with a couple sofa beds. A separate building offers a third bedroom with en suite bathroom and kitchenette. There is also the incredible amphitheatre which is huge and impressive.
Sergio (the owner) is extremely easy to deal with and he is very helpful. Rapheal, the property manager met us on arrival and gave us a very helpful overview of the area plus dealt with reservations for the various night hikes, zip-line tours and taxis for our group. The kids all loved learning from him about the various animals that with his help (and bananas) we got to enjoy.
We recommend this house to anyone who wants to stay in an excellent location to enjoy Costa Rica.

Amazing stay with lots of wildlife viewing
The house and staff were amazing. 15 of us stayed here. There was a lot of room. It was so much fun to watch the monkeys, coatis and agoutis. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much Sergio.

Great find in the cloud forest...
This was a great find. We want to thank Rafa and Sergio for accomodating us at the last minute (we literally booked with Sergio as we drove towards monteverde).
