Fish right off the dock with frozen squid from the Ship and Shore and you will be throwing some on the BBQ that evening!
The cottage provides free wifi and Dish TV. Be sure to know...I take great pride in my cottage (Sea Haven). She is immacutely cleaned after every guest. That should be the least of your concerns. You will find yourself very comfortable. I include starter toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand and bath soaps, plenty of linens and towels.
The house is conveniently located within a 1 or 1.5 miles to all restaurants, beaches, birding trail and the Dauphin Island Estuarium. It's located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood with lots of grande and smaller beautiful homes. You can walk/meander through the neighborhoods and inlets for your morning and evening walks. It's very peaceful and everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming. Right behind the house is the neighborhoods private beach/park. It's a great place to take the kids/grandkids to swim and play. I take kayaks there for easy in and out. It's perfect. I highly recommend kayaking the inlets and kayaking Little Dauphin Island as well. Seeing all the birds, beaches and beautiful homes is awesome!
You will feel right at home at Sea Haven. Clean, Comfortable, relaxing and fun! I know you will love it there!
There is a Pet Fee of $50 and if using the Boat Lift there is a $100 fee. Please let me know if you are planning on bringing a pet and/or using the lift.

Once you book, you will receive my personal contact information and I will receive yours. But, I will be contacting you to give you your own personal Key Code with instructions on how to get into the house. No messing with Property Managers! Also, I will be giving you the WiFi password. We discuss check-in and check-out times. I often let guests arrive early if there isn't anyone checking out same day. But, even then...we can usually get you in earlier than 3pm if necessary. I will help you with restaurant advice, activities advice, kayak, bike, surfboard and boogie board rentals. Any concerns...I am only a phone call away.

We just left this beautiful place. This was not only the perfect quiet getaway we wanted, but it exceeded our expectations. We fished off the dock everyday, minutes from the beach, but I took a chair on the dock and relaxed while my Husband fished, win win situation. Close to anything you need and nice people. I hope to visit again, Perfect for any occasion. This photo is standing on the front porch, loved it.

Lovely and very relaxing stay!
My husband and I stayed here for a week mid-April to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. This cottage was perfect and very clean with lovely views of the bay. Well stocked kitchen. There was a laundry room also. We did a lot of walking around the island which is very laid back. Spent quite a bit of time at the cottage just sitting out on the deck looking out at the bay, cooked lots of shrimp and fish. Didn't catch any crab or fish from dock but the wind was up a couple of days and water pretty choppy so that may have been why. Cheryl, the owner, gave us all the information we needed on the place and where to find grocery stores, restaurants, etc. on the island which was very helpful.
We definitely would stay here again! If you want a laid-back, relaxing vacay, this is the place!

The Perfect Get Away
This was an absolutely wonderful vacation spot for just getting away and just wanting to relax. The home was really nice and offered a stunning view of the ocean and privacy. I loved watching the birds and neighbors fish while spending hours relaxing in the hammock beneath the home. The owner was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Recommendations for this vacation rental to other family and friends went out throughout our stay. Everyone who saw the pics and videos of this place loved it also. I will definitely make another trip back!

Amazing location on the water
My family had the perfect spring break getaway! We brought our boat and went fishing everyday. The location was perfect and close to everything! The house was very clean and had every thing you would need to prepare all your meals at the house! This is the perfect place to bring your family!!!

Loved it!
My family of 6 had a nice little vacation in this house! Probably the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in, I am usually one to pick things apart but I have nothing bad to say about this house. Cherie is great to work with, took the time to give all the information needed and more and her response time was outstanding! Very helpful, we will be staying here again!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. My team and I work really hard to make sure each guest feels welcome and essentially,...that you're the first guest that has ever stayed there! Meaning that down to every nook and cranny is clean. Even the coverlets are cleaned and bleached after every stay! Most homes you will not find that. I want my guests to feel like they are staying at a 5 star resort! Looking forward to you coming again, as I appreciate guests just like you!!! Thanks again!!!

GREAT HOUSE ON THE WATER
We had a wonderful time at this awesome house . The house was located on the water very clean. Location was perfect and easy to access any activities. Great view and well decorated with nice appliances. Boat dock was great, we fished every day. Also 2 nice outdoor charcoal grills and hammock. We were located near ferry and public parks,.. Very family friendly. Owner very helpful and friendly .. We highly recommend this house on the bay. Neighborhood great for walking jogging or biking.

Wonderful Time!!!
The house was amazing!! The view at sunset was breathtaking. My friends and I had so much fun at Dauphin Island. My furbaby Fiona loved the house and Dauphin Island as well!! We will back soon!!

Dauphin Island is surrounded by beautiful white sand beaches, has excellent fishing, the Dauphin Island Bird Sanctuary, the Dauphin Island Sea Lab and Estuarium, Historic Fort Gaines and the famous Mobile Bay Ferry. Great small boutique shops, a must go to bakery and plenty of great restaurants. Plenty of things to do...so, stay...relax...and enjoy! I hope you book fabulous Sea Haven!
Getting around
Getting around Dauphin Island is easy and actually fun. From the house you can walk most places. You can ride a bike and get all over the island easily. Kayaking from the house is perfect. Our neighborhood has a private beach right behind the house where you can put in your kayaks easily and get out of them easily. Kayaking around the inlets and looking at all the beautiful homes and scenery is so enjoyable and such treat! By car, you can get from the house anywhere in about 5 minutes or less. It's perfectly located near restaurants, shopping, beaches and the bird sanctuary.
