The Queen room has an attached bath while guests in the other three rooms share two bathrooms. There is a well equipped kitchen and terrace lounge. There is a janitor who cleans the premises every morning, and a laundry service (Rs. 85/kilo). Coffee and tea are provided. There is no maid or bellboy. The owner sometimes lives onsite and there is a caretaker on the premises. The house is ideal for guests who enjoy living independently. There are several options for meal delivery and the area has many eateries that are open early and close late.
The house is a minute away from Swami Vivekananda's residence on Cornwallis Street. It is a fifteen minute walk to the nearest metro station, Girish Park, from where South Kolkata is easily accessible. It is also close to the colonial heart of Kolkata - College Street, Esplanade, New Market etc.

Please be considerate of other guests and staff. No parties. Quiet time between 10pm and 6am. Please tidy up after yourself in common areas. Please lock doors after you when you leave the house. We don't have a maid or domestic help. There is a janitor who cleans common areas and bathrooms every morning. Meal services are available. Laundry service is available. Please ask when you check in. You may smoke in the open areas as long as other guests are not bothered by the smoke.

Very nice hotel with good hygiene and good staffs. Strongly recommended. Good facilities and good toilets.

About the neighbourhood
You will be living in the heart of traditional North Kolkata with the best mishti and kachuri (sweets and snacks) shops in Kolkata a few steps away. The neighborhood is residential, but there are also eateries all around. Ordering food is easy as is getting to shopping areas like New Market, Gariahat and Park Street. Most homes and families have been here for more than a hundred years.

The nearest Metro station, Girish Park, is 15 minutes walking distance from the home. The Metro allows you to reach anywhere in Kolkata within half an hour. Of course Uber and taxis are also available. There are bus stops within a two minute walk. The trams are pretty ramshackle, but you can take a joyride in one for pennies.
