Holiday Rental House
Tranquility and beauty of the countryside are often irresistible to people who arrive from the big cities. For those who wish to experience rural Istria to its fullest, there are village households which offer plenty of ways to connect with the rural life. Picking asparagus, olives, and grapes, or looking for truffles in the Motovun forest – these activities can be a delightful new experience to visitors. Children, on the other hand, might find the joy in the vast space they can play in, and spend quite a memorable time. Of course, agritourism wouldn't be complete without the mouthwatering healthy meals. In fact, knowing that you eat home grown vegetables will only make the whole meal even tastier!...Tranquility and beauty of the countryside are often irresistible to people who arrive from the big cities. Additional amenities & feature info
The house is decorated with shabby chic style. Beautiful handmade furniture adds a touch of rural luxury, but it's the richness of interior detail that gives Villa Marjeta its authentic and cozy atmosphere. The ground floor features the kitchen, a pantry, and a spacious living room with the traditional Istrian fireplace. On the first floor are two bedrooms: a master bedroom, and a children's room. Painted in white and blue, they evoke perfect tranquillity. A modern bathroom is also found on the first floor. The second floor is in fact a mix between the high attic and a terrace. Here is another kitchen with a pantry, as well as the fireplace ideal for barbecue. Since this floor is in part open-air, this is a lovely place to dine under the stars.

About the neighbourhood
Motovun is the most famous and best preserved Istria's medieval town. Since the town was built upon the old Celtic and Illyric prehistoric settlements, Motovun's name is in fact of Celtic origin and means 'Mount Town'. The name is perfectly justified, since this oval shaped hilltop town lies 277 meters above sea level. Two sets of fortified walls divide Motovun into three sections, and the perfect way to explore them is to take a walk up the narrow cobbled streets. Higher levels of the town uncover the magnificent view of the surrounding countryside, with vineyards on the slopes of the hill, river Mirna in the valley, and the nearby Motovun forest which is famous for its prized truffles. The town holds elements of Renaissance, Gothic and Romanesque styles, and the higher you climb, the ...
How to get there
Villa Marjeta is situated in small village called Rušnjak, just 3 km outside Motovun. We strongly believe you will need a car, motorbike or bike if you want to get the most out of your vacation. Motovun is in the heart of Istria, easy to reach from multiple directions. Closest airports are Pula (Croatia), Trieste and Venice (Italy). More info here:
