The house, called Pondok Apsari, is very unique because it's grown around an old rice barn. Inside and out site are floating over in each other. The living room and kitchen are one. The roofcovered semi-open bathroom is a separate building, with hot and cold water. There is also a roof covered studio for art activities and in the spacious tropical garden is a swimming pool with a great view on ricefields and far below the Bali sea and the city of Singaraja.Your stay can be tuned to your wishes and personal demands like fi meals. We can also organise all kinds of activities and help you to make an attractive program. The English speaking staff takes care of household, garden and swimming pool. On request we can serve you breakfast, lunch and/or diner.

This quirky converted rice barn is perfect for a romantic hideaway, tucked between rice paddies far away from crazy crowds. The loudest noise is the frogs at night. Beautifully decked out with all that you will need, perfectly placed pool with views for days! Close...More

We loved staying in the rice barn. It has just about everything we could have hoped for, including a friendly and knowledgeable caretaker, Ji. It was the perfect place to escape from the crowded touristy spots of Bali and enjoy the traditional culture and community....More

We loved the place, the house and the warmth of the people. Karien was always availble and answering our questions immediately, although she was on her honeymoon in Australia. Ji, who just lives next to the comfy and romantic barnhouse, was very kind and helpful....More

The property is 8 km. from the sea, from Singaraja 5 km. uphill.
They call that area the 'secret garden of Sambangan', full of tropical green and rice fields, with sea- and mountain view.
Many of the people that live in the little hamlet Banjar Anyar still live as they did 20 years ago.
Only the motorbike and cellphone make the difference.
