APARTMENT ALTO is the top floor (but street level!) apartment in our extensively restored and modernized listed family home and garden. The house and garden occupy the entire plot bordered by Srednji Kono, Vicina and Zagrebacka Ulica and the original stone walls surround the whole plot. We have kept the best of our antique furniture and artworks and supplemented them with modern state of the art bathrooms, air-conditioning, double glazing and WIFI to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We are also fortunate to have off road parking spaces for 3 saloon cars (one per apartment ) this is a rarity in the old town area.

I curently work abroad but spend as much time as I can in the house. Our House Manager (Ivana) lives on site and we are in daily contact. We are both happy to answer any queries you have and aim to do everything we can to make your holiday a happy one. Ivana can do personal laundry for a small charge by arrangement.

About the neighbourhood
Srednji Kono is a UNESCO protected quiet residential area with easy access to attractions of the Old Town, night-life and restaurants. The Old Town is a few minutes walk down hill down a grand staircase or an alternative step free route. There are three public beaches withing a 5-10 minute walk. Back along the road about 3 minutes walk is the Pinky Cafe/Bar and next door a bakery open from early to late and selling fresh bread savoury and sweet pastries. A little further up is our local Deli/supermarket and opposite the public carpark and a cashpoint.
Guests -have commented that the house is an oasis of peace and calm yet very central.
Getting around
The best way to get around Dubrovnik is on foot. The Old Town is pedestrians only and the rest of the area round it is mainly little streets with steps. Because we back on to the road you can get the bus (8) or taxi home!
The bus connections and cab connections to the area round Dubrovnik are pretty good whereas parking is generally a nightmare and hugely expensive in public car parks.
There are loads of boat trips some leaving from Old Town harbour and some from the New Port in Gruz. it is definitely worth while exploring by sea.

The house is on the main inner ring road of Dubrovnik. About as near as you can get by car/bus or taxi to the Old Town walls. There is one parking space per apartment for which we make no extra charge.
