Although the villa is near to town it has a very natural environment and rural surrounding. While a larger party or family group can enjoy the ample outside living spaces, the villa also thoughtfully provides maximum privacy and independence. We, the host family (Joy, Joerg, Akin and Ben live on the next compound and are willing to answer your question and assist you in all needs of your stay while we respect your privacy. We will assist our guests to have a great holiday in any way we can and we also fully respect our guests’ privacy and individual needs.

About the neighbourhood
The villa is not inside the city but just at the outskirt of the city area. It is an unusual green and tranquil area for being so close to the city. It is (depending on traffic a 20-30 minutes’ drive into the center. 10-15 minutes to one of the best international supermarkets. 10 minutes or bicycling distance to the municipality office or the exhibition center. As we are close to the ring road it is sometimes faster to reach different points of interest in the city from our location by avoiding inner city traffic congestion and it is very convenient to go to major tourist attractions around Chiang Mai. You can enjoy unblocked sunset views over the Ping river and mountains
Getting around
As public transport is not well developed in and around Chiang Mai we recommend own transport arrangements. We can assist you on that. We can book you a van (or vans) with driver per day or for airport transfers. 1 van is for up to 10 passengers. A rental van with driver is 1800 THB/day + petrol. For airport pick up it is 700 THB/day. (This is a cheap local rate (we don't take any fee or margin on that) There is sufficient under-roof parking for 3 vans or 5 personal cars inside the villas compound. For smaller commuting Uber works also well from and to the Villas by using just 'Ping Pool Villas' as address line. For exploring the direct surrounding, grocery shopping and market we provide bicycles free of charge.
