The kitchen was newly built last year. Cooking utensils, plates, cutlery is avialable.
The L-shaped granite counter top also serves as a small bar for a quick breakfast or lunch.
Or use the Thai style teakwood dinner table.
Dining area, looking towards the living room.
The kitchen also has a small fridge and microwave.
Bedrooms are upstairs.
The front facing bedroom has a small balcony.
This is the other bedroom; both bedrooms are air conditioned.

Front of the house; more than enough space to park a car, motorcycles, etc.

Chiang Mai
This small house is in the riverside area of Chiang Mai. It's in a very vibrant area, a short walk to Chiang Mai's main markets, the Night Bazar and other sights. Upstairs are two air conditioned bedrooms, the front facing one has a small balcony. Downstairs is the main living room, dining area and kitchen. Please note that only the bedrooms have air conditioning, downstairs are fans only although it stays relatively cool there most seasons. There is a small TV and broadband WiFi Internet. Outside there is a large secure space to park a car or motorcycles.

There are many restaurants and cafes nearby, or if you feel like cooking yourself, the kitchen is ready to go with a stove, basic pans and utensils, plates, cutlery, glasses, and so on. There is a fridge, hot water thermos and a microwave.

This house is positioned just across the river from the old town, 5 minutes from the Iron Bridge. As such, it is out of the hustle and bustle of tourist and traffic. Bedrooms are air conditioned and fans are more than sufficient to cool you in the downstairs areas. For the first two weeks there were 4 of us staying...

Owner could not have been more helpful. He obviously likes people and enjoys helping them. The house was much lower cost than modern apartment buildings, but does not have all the bells and whistles. There was so much room. Once we found a safe back way to walk to the supermarket we were very happy. Previously we were walking on...

Really enjoyed staying here - plenty of room, our host was excellent, near to restaurants, night bazaar and supermarket. Close to everything but still quiet and private

About the neighbourhood
The house is just off the road along the Eastern river bank. This puts it in walking distance from some very distinct areas: cross the narrow Iron Bridge and you are at the Night Bazaar, with many tourist hotels and restaurants. Or go the other way and you get to Chiang Mai's old commercial center with lots of shophouses around the Sanpakhoi market.

Chiang Mai's biggest market is across the next bridge up, or continue straight towards Thapae Gate and the city moat. To the south there is the Gymkhana Golf and Sports club, established in 1898.

One of Chiang Mai's best supermarkets is just 300m up the road, and there are many restaurants and cafes on the road along the river.

Airport: We can typically pick you up from the airport for most arrival times.: 6.5 km
Railway: We can typically pick you up from the train station.: 2.3 km
We can typically pick you up from the airport, bus or railway station. If driving yourself though the house number is 215/7 inside Soi Sirithat which is a small lane off the Chiang Mai - Lamphun Road. When coming from out of town it's most easily reached by taking Charoen Muang Road, which goes West directly into town when coming from the main Highway #11 ('Superhighway'). Follow Charoen Muang road until you hit the river (Nawarat Bridge) but turn left on to the Chiang Mai Lamphun Road just before the bridge, going South along the river. From there to Soi Sirithat is 750m, it is a *tight* left turn immediately after the 'LPG' gas station. Soi Sirithat splits in two, keep to the left and the house is immediately on your left.
