Please note:the double bedroom upstairs is accessed through the triple bedroom, which is used as an additional living area when not being used as a bedroom. There is a 9 x 3m covered, south facing terrace with chairs and a large dinning table, a hammock, outside lights and power sockets. It has side panels for wind protection so is very warm. The garden is laid to lawn and has a large grill and a shed. The garden is all enclosed and is safe for children and pets. There are games such as croquet and badminton. The beach is a five minute walk away. it is all white sand and you can rent beach chairs. There are chairs and a beach umbrella you can take to the beach at the house. There is small cafe by the beach. At the beach you can go on banana boat rides. You can walk either way along the beach for 5km. The sea is safe for children as it is shallow and has sand at the bottom. No big waves or tides. there is a life guard on duty at the beach. Gyzbowo has a post-office, grocery shops and some bars, restaurants and cafes. Near the house you can eat-in or take-away very good fish. This area is famous for its fish. People smoke and then sell fish outside their homes. There is a horse riding stable in the village and you can go riding on the beach. 5 miles west from Gyzbowo is the seaside resort of Dzwirzyno. This has an outdoor swimming pool, a fun fair and lots of souvenir shops. It also has a four star hotel called the Senator which contains an indoor pool, a cinema, a sauna and a bowling alley. Past Dzwirzyno is a lake where you can hire pedal boats and take boat trips. A few miles further along the coast is Rogowa, a former military base for Scud missiles! This is now open to the public and has a beautiful quiet beach with a bar. Kolobrzeg is famous as both a seaside resort, a fishing port and a spa town. Salin springs produce a special healing mud that is used in many clinics in the area. It is also famous for its temperate microclimate and fresh, clean air. Kolobrzeg has a large fishing port, a marina, an outdoor concert venue, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. In and around Kolobrzeg you can go canoeing, quad biking, hiking, horse riding, sea fishing, lake fishing and river fishing, boating and cycling. In Kolobrzeg there is a funfair, crazy golf, paintballing, tennis, bowling windsurfing and an outdoor pool. There are boat trips aboard a Viking boat from Kolobrzeg and trips to Bornholm island in the Baltic (owned by Denmark and without any cars allowed). The trip to Bornholm takes about 2 hours. You can also arrange to have a range of treatments at spa resort clinics. In Kolobrzeg there are many restaurants, shops, a museum, a pier, a fishing port, a marina, a children's Zoo, cinemas an amphitheatre with summer concerts, an indoor swimming pool, markets, nightclubs and bars. Szczecin airport is just over an hours drive away. It has flights to Stansted and Liverpool, UK and Dublin, Ireland with Ryan Air. Also flights to Oslo, Norway and Barcelona, Spain and to Warsaw. There is a bus from the airport to Kolobrzeg. You can also hire a car at the airport. The house is about 2 hours drive from the Polish /German border and about 3 to 4 hours drive to Berlin. We drive to the house via the Harwich to Hook van Holland ferry. Its a 10-12 hour drive from Holland.More
