We pride ourselves in offering a unique stay in a relaxed, calm environment in the countryside. The accommodation, The Prune Room, sleeps 2 (we can accommodate a baby as well), is self-contained and separate from the main house. It comprises bedroom with en-suite shower room, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and BBQ (on request) and free wi-fi. You also have use of our well equipped kitchen to prepare your lunches and evening meals (it would be helpful if you could tell me if you want the use of the kitchen when you book).

We offer continental breakfast as standard which is served either in your room, on your own attractive covered terrasse or in our home if the weather is a little inclement!

We enjoy having guests but both work part time therefore although we try to answer your queries, we are not around 24/7. We both enjoy a chat but equally understand if you like to be left alone.

What an amazing place, the accomodation was clean and tidy, rooms were immaculate as were the views, the beds were extremely comfortable and the hosts Ian and Sally went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, by the time we left I felt part...More

Everything you could need from a B&B . Spacious ,clean and comfortable with an overspill onto a terrace with furniture and a fridge.Even sky TV.! A lovely quiet setting overlooking a field of sunflowers as far as the eye can see.No light or noise pollution...More

About the neighbourhood
Our home is in the countryside near to a lovely lake, where you can fish (permit needed) and take a stroll around. The local village is about 5km away and has a cafe/bar, restaurant, grocery shop, bakery, butchers, pharmacy and hairdressers. There is a small market each Saturday morning.
A little further away are beautiful historical sites from the ‘moyenne age’ , Bergerac and the lovely river Dordogne. Our area has a wealth of local food products, most notably duck confit and of course, lots of vineyards which offer tastings!

There is no public transport so you will need a car. We can offer bikes though!

From Lauzun (Post code 47410)
Find the Boulangerie on the D1 in Lauzun. Take the road opposite – the D145 – signposted to Cancon, St Colomb de Lauzun.
Travel out of Lauzun, into St Colomb de Lauzun (about 2km) and look for the left turn, just after The Old School to Lac des Graoussettes. Keep following signs for the Lac. About 500m after the Lac, we are on your right up a small lane.
