Bickley Brook Cottage sits on one and a half acres in the valley, surrounded by natural bushland. During the cooler months Bickley Brook flows through the property. The Cottage is a magical oasis with an abundance of wildlife and several scenic walking and bike trails nearby. Accommodation is available for up to 6 people with exclusive use of the cottage which includes a large log fire for cool winter nights, air-conditioning, free WiFi, self catering and laundry facilities.... your home away from home. Only 15 minutes to the International and Domestic Airports and close to Champion Lakes Regatta Centre, Araluen Botanic Park and the Bickley and Carmel Valley Wine Trail. Bickley Brook Cottage is an ideal base for bush-walking, bike riding (bikes & helmets available, free of charge) sightseeing or for just relaxing and planning further adventures around our great state. Bickley Brook Cottage is presented for short term accommodation by David and Michelle who have lived in the valley for over 30 years and want to share this beautiful, secret locale with visitors from all over the world. Only 30 minutes from the Perth CBD, Orange Grove has many local attractions such as the Mason and Bird Timber Tramway heritage trail, which includes one of the oldest remaining timber bridges in Australia. This historic tramway ran down past the property delivering timber (Jarrah - then known as “Swan River Mahogany”) from the forests further up the valley, down to Mason’s Landing in Cannington, for transport from the “Swan River Colony” to England. The Valley to Valley Hike trail, which starts across the road, links Bickley Brook Valley to the nearby Ellis Brook Valley, home of the spectacular ’60 Foot Falls’. We would love to welcome you to this special home, located in the Perth Hills, on one and a half acres of landscaped grounds, surrounded by tall trees, grazing kangaroos and an amazing array of native birdlife. There are four bedrooms in the cottage - the Master Bedroom has a queen size bed and an adjoining bedroom which can be used for small children, the third bedroom has a double bed and a single bed and the fourth bedroom has two king single beds. Children are catered for with provision of the adjoining bedroom to the Master bedroom, containing two single beds and a cot, as well as books and toys. A high chair is also provided and there is a secure play area outside for small children. The property is a wonderful playground for young families to explore with a creek and plenty of room to run around. Complimentary tea, coffee & sugar are supplied for your convenience. There is ample off street parking for up to 4 cars. A gas fired barbecue is provided in the outdoor eating area as well as your own private picnic table overlooking the brook. The kitchen is fully equipped and full laundry facilities are also provided for your convenience.
