Welcome to your luxury accommodation in the Katoomba, in the Blue Mountains of NSW. The Gatsby is a luxurious, self-contained art deco cottage for one to four couples a short walk from both the main sights and the village of Katoomba.
A short stroll to the world famous Echo Point with its Three Sisters and views across the Jamison Valley, The Gatsby is in Katoomba's best location.
The Gatsby offers guests luxury self-contained cottage accommodation with no detail overlooked. Meticulously furnished in authentic Art Deco style, the cottage sleeps one to four couples in the luxury of days gone by.
The whole house is yours alone so you can enjoy your getaway in relaxed comfort and privacy. No need to share with anyone.

An absolutely superb house to enjoy the mountains
My friends and I were delighted to be the first people to stay at the newly opened The Gatsby. The house is so well decorated, but more than that, it is luxurious and comfortable. A real treat to stay!!! Lorraine truly pays attention to every detail. We will definitely be returning ... and telling our families and friends about this gem!! We also stayed at another house run by the same owner. It is called Varenna. It was also a delight to stay in. If the Gatsby is booked out... try and book Varenna!

Elegance and Charm in the mountains
The Gatsby is a lovely cottage with art Deco features and a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. While it may not be grand in its proportions The Gatsby has an elegance and charm all its own.
The attention to detail was apparent and impressive, with music playing through the house on arrival, complementary Port and Wine in the living room, chocolates and bathrobes layed out on the beds, even the kettle was boiled.
The well stocked kitchen had all we needed to prepare home meals, which is a bonus for anyone looking to save from eating out or those of us who enjoy cooking. While the bathroom was luxurious and stylish with all desires accounted for in underfloor heating, piped music, and the expansive spa of your dreams.
The home is framed in pretty gardens which provide colour and privacy from the street and neighbours, and the central heating and fireplace provided warm respite from the cool autumn mountain air
all expectations were met and exceeded. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended it.
The Gatsby can not be more highly recommended.

Blast from the past in style!
The Gatsby had all the comforts that one would need when away from home. When they say it is fully equipped iy literally means everything one could think of!
It created a beautiful Cosy home, the carpets were plush, the beds were so comfortable. The beds gave great support no sagging in the middle. The heating was awesome! We had some pretty chilly nights that didn't bother us at all! The location was so convenient. Yet it was far enough from the tourists to give us the tranquility that the blue mountains is renown for. I'm certain Mr Gatsby himself would have approved of this little luxury!

Honeymoon treat in style & luxury
My husband and I stayed at The Gatsby and were totally blown away. Lorraine doesn't leave anything to chance - everything is ready and waiting for you, all you need to do is arrive! Total luxury, just what we needed after hectic Wedding plans and a beautiful Wedding day. Time to relax, unwind and enjoy. You won't be disappointed. We are definitely going back, hopefully well before our 1st anniversary. Thank you Lorraine.

comfortable and cosy (and under-floor heating!!)
we had seven nights in this gorgeous property. along with the things you hope and expect (clean, heater, comfy bed, good kitchen) - gatsby goes the extra bit. under floor heating, 2 person spa, lots of breakie provisions, robes, slippers and marshmallows! basically you are completely taken care of! thanks again lorraine, for a great stay!!

comfort and luxury
A very comforting and homely, yet opulent and luxurious B+B. Well-themed decor and all the facilities you could need in a B+B. We arrived late on a Friday evening to find the Gatsby warmed, secure and with charming themed music playing.
The double spa bath is a fantastic addition.
Very comfortable, and looking forward to returning some day.

Superb
So glad we ended up at The Gatsby as opposed to a B&B.; Having the whole house to yourselves is fantastic. The house has everything you need including a really well appointed kitchen and plenty of lovely extras too, like port and chocolates and fluffy white robes for all guests. Owner Lorraine even takes care of stocking the fridge and pantry with all the essentials. We'd planned to go out for dinner but the house was so cosy and comfy we decided to stay in both nights. We'll be back for sure.

"blown away"
A truly beautiful cottage with everything you could imagine. Leave your problems behind and allow Lorraine to give you the perfect escape. Absolutely loved the art-deco bathroom with piped music and candles. Great location. Would highly recommend if you're looking to spoil yourself in the mountains - you won't be disappointed.

Luxury with beautiful attention to detail
From the time we opened the front door with music playing and the coffee ready to pour it was the start of a very nice weekend. The art Deco theme was done very tastefully and the linen on the beds and towels were of the best quality. Located near to Echo Point was a bonus and made a nice walk in the afternoon. Kitchen was well equipped and we could not want for anything. Will definitely try to come back for another stay in the future.

Magic Mountain Experience
Would highly recommend the Gatsby to anyone. The service was great from booking until after staying. The property itself was luxurious and had so much character to it. Location was very close to Echo Point/ Three Sisters. Overall, a fantastic stay.

The Gatsby is perfectly located just a 10 minute walk to the town centre or a short 5 minute walk to Echo Point and The Three Sisters.
The Gatsby is the perfect spot whether it be for a spot of golf, exploring nature or Scenic World rides over the stunning Jamison Valley - the choice is yours.
Getting around
Best way to see all the local attractions and to get around for the duration of your stay is the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus (a red London double decker bus) which allows you to hop-on and hop-off for the duration of your stay. Get a real bird's eye view of the Blue Mountains whilst sitting on the second level - a beautiful experience complete with commentary.
There are 31 stops around the villages of Leura and Katoomba so you can pick up the bus at every major location.

How to get there
BY CAR - travel by car is the most popular means of transport to the Blue Mountains. The entrance to the Blue Mountains at Glenbrook/Lapstone is only around 50 minutes drive from Sydney.
FROM THE CITY - Follow the signs to Parramatta. The M4 Motorway starts at Strathfield and takes you through to Lapstone in the Blue Mountains.
FROM RICHMOND - An alternative route to the Blue Mountains is via Bell’s Line of Road which starts at Richmond and takes you through to Mount Tomah and Bell, and across to Mount Victoria. This drive is extremely pleasant through the vast Blue Mountains National Park, a contrast to the main thoroughfare of the Great Western Highway.
FROM OUTER WEST - If you are travelling from the outer west, follow the signs to Lithgow, then through to Hartley where you will enter the Blue Mountains via Victoria Pass taking you straight to the top at Mount Victoria.
DISTANCE FROM SYDNEY to Leura is 119km’s and 122km's to Katoomba.
BY TRAIN – It is a 2 hour train ride, sit back, relax and take in the sites. Train services run almost hourly from Central Station to Wentworth Falls, Leura., Katoomba, Medlow Bath, Blackheath, Mount Victoria, Bell, Zig Zag and Lithgow. BY COACH - Relax and take a coach tour to/from the Blue Mountains. There are a number of tour company companies located within the Blue Mountains and Sydney region.
