Katoomba, Blue Mountains, New South Wales
Kookaburra Cottage is an elegant, comfortable, spacious, well-built house perfect for enjoying the special things the Blue Mountains offer; the lookouts, the bushwalks, the spring flowers, the autumn leaves and the winter evenings. It looks out onto cold climate gardens and backlit escarpment views through the trees from its large picture windows. It is the perfect place for a romantic couple's getaway or for a real old fashioned family holiday. It is one of the very nicest houses in Katoomba (and very reasonably priced).

On sunny days enjoy the beautiful bushwalks, spectacular views and the lovely cold climate gardens for which the Blue Mountains are famous. On rainy days relax with a movie or read a book - or try the hot chocolate at the Blue Mountains Chocolate Company in nearby Lurline Street. There are lots of books and a cupboa...

Interaction with guests
We live nearby and are nearly always available to help with any queries or problems immediately they arise. (This doesn't happen often.) There is plenty of information about the house in the folder on the sideboard and there is a separate folder of menus from local restaurants to help you choose suitable places to eat out. We also have a selection of brochures about local attractions on the sideboard. If you need specialised information about the area you are only a five minute stroll from the information centre at Echo Point where there are National Parks staff who can help with questions about bushwalking and the wider area.
