About the neighbourhood
East Jindabyne is a quiet neighbourhood with a small number of houses and large gardens. The suburb has a motel with a restaurant which is walking distance from the house and a nearby cafe/bakery, ski hire and petrol/gas station. A walking and cycling track runs along the edge of the lake which is popular with locals. Fishing for brown and rainbow trout in the bay below the house can be excellent especially during an ant or evening insect hatch. The lake is also enjoyed by swimmers and water skiers. Summer lake temperatures average 20-23*C. It is a delightful place to have a relaxing Australian summer or winter mountain holiday.
