YellotailStay - Stanwell Tops is set in a small acreage of stunning rolling lawns with a sandstone surrounded dam and encompassed by bush. We are 30 metres from the hang gliding and paragliding haven and stunning views of Bald Hill, Stanwell Park. The Top Room is a motel style room with a double bed, en-suite bathroom and kitchenette. It has a microwave, toaster, kettle, bench etc. but no cooker or sink other than in the ensuite. It is attached to the residential house but has a separate entrance. There are 2 more larger rooms available downstairs. Both have kitchenettes with a sink. The room has air conditioning and a parking space next to the room. Microwave, tea and coffee facilities, and a toaster are available in the room. We are a 1 minute walk to world famous Bald Hill Lookout, over the road from The Royal National Park and a 5 minute drive to Stanwell Park Beach, walking to the beach or shops is impracticable). Bald Hill is a haven for hang gliders and paragliders and the view of the Northern Illawarra, the escarpment and The Sea Cliff Bridge is rated by many, as one of the best in the world. The start of the Royal National Park Coast Walk is 1 km away just past the iconic Otford Apple Pie Shop but there are numerous other bush walks near by, with a couple running next to the property. The property is close to numerous wedding venues including those at Audley, Lillyvale and Stanwell Tops. Coffee shops, restaurants and supermarkets are a short but spectacular drive to the south at Wombarra and Austinmere including The Scarborough Hotel, or a 5 minute drive north to Helensburgh. The Symbio Zoo is 5 minutes away with a golf driving range and putt putt across the road. The Boomerang Golf Course is a further 5 minutes drive. Horse riding at Otford Valley Farm is 5 minutes drive with the main trail running along our boundary. Cycling and motor bike riding are popular pursuits in the area and there are many rainforest walks, 10-20 minutes to the north and spectacular escarpment walks to the south.More

Comfortable, convenient, cosy

We stayed here because it's about 10 minutes from Darkes Forest. It's spitting distance to the Bald Hill lookout so would be great for anyone who wants to do or see hang-gliding, or do some bush-walking. The room is self-contained, thoughtfully well-supplied and sensibly laid...More

Overnight stay to see family nearby

Very hospitable and friendly - great position and nice quality furnishing. Comfy.even the small dog was friendly😄 Amazing gliders nearby on bald hill stanwell tops!!

Beautiful Stay

Clean and bright Great value location

Took all 3 of the apartments for a family function and it worked wonderfully. Great location just a short walk from amazing ocean views. On doorstep of national park for riding and hiking. Very accommodating hosts.
