Wonderful 1930s house with every modern convenience you could want. Beautiful furnishings, lovely linens and towels, also included very nice bathroom/hair treatments. A welcome package with every breakfast item you could imagine. Lynda and Henry think of everything to make you welcome in their old family home.
About 1 1/2 hours north of Adelaide, a car is a must. Ideally situated for wine tasting in the Clare Valley and visiting pretty little towns such as Burra.

Idyllic country retreat
I have just spent a long weekend at this delightful country farmhouse. If you like walking in the hills with the kangaroos, galahs and other birds then this is the place for you. Beautiful views, tranquil garden and veranda to sit and eat and chat with friends. Well--equipped kitchen so you can do your own cordon bleu cooking or the Robertstown Hotel is near enough to go for supper. Very comfortable bedrooms and running hot and cold water. I can't wait to go back for another stay.

Genuine country farmhouse
I was working in the area and was pleasantly surprised to find a well equipped country farmhouse close by. It reminded me of my own house growing up on the land and the peace and tranquility that comes with country living. Lynda has been extremely helpful with the bookings and I would recommend the Hallelujah Hideaway to others.

Real country getaway
We had seen the property promoted before and had been keen to stay there as it was not in a town and were looking for peace and quiet. We found it.
Lovely house, good features plenty of room, clean and comfortable.
Had the essential BBQ for us and a great selection of music which played the whole time.
The back door was a bit tricky but other than that we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Thanks for your kind words, glad you enjoyed yourselves. Yes the unusual amount of rain has caused some problems with the back door, but the farmers are happy as long as it stops soon😀

Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hideaway is a short way out of Robertstown, SA, and is an old style farm house but with all the mod cons you might need. My husband and I stayed there with friends and thoroughly enjoyed a peaceful quiet break away from all the hassle of work and home. But if you want to explore, it's a short trip to Burra with all its historical sites, shops and cafes. We took the scenic route through the Hallelujah Hills.
The house itself is impeccable, the hosts supplied all the kitchen extras that you always forget when you are travelling, and the kitchen is a great place for food, wine and laughs around the table. We enjoyed the time to relax and unwind. And loved the view from the outside loo! (There is an inside toilet as well and two options for showers.) It was great. We've been there twice and would happily go again.

Peaceful week
We had a peaceful week at this house, there was everything you could need in the kitchen.
The only drawback was that it was a long way from the nearest restaurants and I had to cook a meal each day which when I am on holiday I do not normally do.
We were visiting from the UK and found the house to be relaxing after visiting the Clare and Barossa wine regions, also other areas
If you want peace and quiet this is an ideal location to stay.

It was amazing, so peaceful and pretty
I stayed for the weekend. The decoration inside was amazing. Everything I needed was in the kitchen. The rooms were clean and immaculate. It was very peaceful sitting on the from veranda. Definitely check out the outdoor loo, a room with a view, it was a pleasant surprise to use (there was still the inside toilet too)

About the neighbourhood
The area was settled by mainly German settlers in the mid 1800s. Many of the early farms failed leaving the area rich with ruins of farmhouses and old farming equipment which can be explored. While the lowlands have been cleared, the Hallelujah Hills have been left wooded and provide a home for kangaroos, emus, lizards, galahs, lorikeets, eagles and other wild-life. A herd of feral deer also roam the Hills. Local scenic attractions include the Wold's End suspension footbridge, the Burra Creek Gorge, Red Banks Conservation Park, the Heysen Trail, the Tothill Range, Burra copper mine. Robertstown is home to Lehman's General Store which still operates as it did about 100 years ago with the addition of modern refrigeration. Clare and the Barossa Valley where South Australia's renowned wines may be sampled and purchased are within easy reach.
