Trent Cottage, 92 Boundary Road, NG24 4AX

Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, England
Trent Cottage is a newly renovated comfortable, centrally heated Victorian terraced cottage with WIFI and a courtyard garden.
Situated within easy reach of the river & the town centre it offers a good base for both business and pleasure. It's a comfortable alternative place to stay for weddings etc & dogs are welcome!
The modern fitted kitchen is fully equipped and has a farmhouse type pine table and chairs that makes it a great place to cook and socialise in.
The garden room has French doors so makes a lovely space to enjoy the courtyard garden and a safe space for a four legged friend.
The lounge has a smart TV with free view & buit-in DVD player. It also has a single put-u-up bed so that four people can be offered sleeping accommodation if necessary but this does detract from the comfort of the house.
Upstairs there is...

About the neighbourhood
Newark is a historic market town
Newark's castle where the bad King John died after losing his treasure in the Wash, is now a ruin as a result of the Civil War. Newark was besieged three times in that war as a result of the Royalist troops digging in there in the Sconces - defensive earthworks- one of which still stands in the park opposite 92 Boundary Road. The castle is on the river and surrounded by gardens and a park. Along the river from the castle is a wharf from which Newark once transported flax and gypsum. Behind it stands an elegant eighteenth century coffee house - The Ossington. A short walk away,In Appleton Gate you will find the National Civil War in the old grammar school founded by Thomas Magnus in the 13th century and now restored to its former glory including a magn...

If you don't want to use your car or a taxi, the Number 3 bus to the bus station/town centre stops round the corner in Albert Street and goes approx. every 15 minutes.
From the bus station you can get to the railway stations as well as to Nottingham, Mansfield and Southwell and a host of local villages. The information office there will help you.
The bus to Nottingham also stops by the park, 3 minutes walk from the house.
