Dalavich is within the Inverliever Forest (SSI) and is a low density settlement. 1 minute walk to Loch Awe, 10 minutes to Bar/restaurant & post office/store/licenced cafe. A true getaway and a warm Highland welcome!

About the neighbourhood
Dalavich is a small village established by the Forestry Commission in the 1950s. There is a small general store/cafe/post office and a community centre/bar/restaurant - opening times vary with the seasons and are available online. There are many forest trails to walk or cycle, including the Dalavich Oakwood Trail (a site of special scientific interest). Mountain bikes are available to hire in the village. Although remote, the area is served by buses which run from Dalavich to Oban - catch a ferry or flight to the many off-shore islands or visit the distillery and McCaig's Tower. A little further afield are the standing stones and museum at Kilmartin or the Ben Cruachan (Hollow Mountain) Visitor Centre to see how hydro power generates the area's electricity. How to get there

By Car:
1. From Glasgow: M8 towards Erskine Bridge.
2. Turn onto the M898 and cross bridge.
3. A82 towards Loch Lomond then Tarbet.
4. Turn right on to the A82 to Crianlarich.
5. Carry on to Tyndrum.
6. Just past the Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum turn left on to the A85 towards Oban.
7. Drive through Dalmally and along the north shore of Loch Awe.
8. Just before Taynuilt Take the B845 towards Kilchrenan.
9. Go through Kilchrenan and after 7.5 miles you will arrive at Dalavich.
