Alternatively if you need to utilise the Coach House as an office while you are away from home, there are desks and free WiFi. The accommodation is tastefully decorated throughout and there is an upstairs bedroom with lounge and TV. Downstairs there is a dining area and kitchen and an office area with desks. There is a ground floor bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. Outside there is a private courtyard with outside table and chairs. Parking is immediately outside on the drive. Whilst we would say this is not suitable for kids, this is simply because there are stairs which may be dangerous for toddlers. We are happy to accept babies whose mobility can be supervised. There would only be room for a travelling cot upstairs

Lovely stay at the Coach House. Couldn't have wished for anything more. Plenty of extras that you don't get elsewhere. A very warm welcome, will probably stay again when in the area.

About the neighbourhood
This is a quiet, rural area, yet only three miles from Junction 20 of the M74. There are many beautiful villages around us and we are within easy driving distance of the Scottish Border Towns, the Solway Coast, Gretna Green and the world famous Buddhist Temple of Samye Ling at Eskdalemuir. The Lake District is only less than one hour's drive from here. You can reach Glasgow in one and a half hours and Edinburgh in under two hours.
Getting around
We are approximately 21 miles from Carlisle, where there is a railway station which links to Euston, London. Lockerbie is 10 miles away with a mainline railway station, linking to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Carlisle and London. Annan is 8 miles away with a railway station linking to Glasgow and Carlisle. Gretna Green - famed for it's history of runaway marriages, and still a popular wedding desitnation for couples from all over the world, is 10 miles away and has a railway station linking to Annan, Glasgow (via the Ayrshire Coast) and Carlisle.
