Though we had to travel for 26 hours to get to Bar...
Though we had to travel for 26 hours to get to Barni from Australia, the experience was worth the effort.
Being in a quiet village and being able to engage with the people in the village certainly made the stay in the Villa extraordinary. We were treated not just as tourists but guests of their community.
Our grandkids loved playing basketball/ football with the local every afternoon in the adjacent community square. We all enjoyed Stefano's food van with fresh calamari and local cuisine on the Monday evenings as well joining in for the Pasta party during the Barni Festival of Saints.
Elisabetta was brilliant in providing details of all the things to do around the area. Special thanks to the locals who put up with our limited Italian vocabulary. Alana in the local shop, Guido for his superb catering for our first evening meal and the owners of the Sports bar.
The villa was certainly big enough for our tribe of 17 people and for the 14 nights. Luca / Georgia certainly provided a memorable 70th birthday banquet during our stay.
We used this as a base to chill out after ventures within short drives to the superb Lake Como/ Bellagio areas as well as riding motorbikes over the Stelvio Pass into Switzerland & Austria. We were able cross over the borders and visit 5 countries in one day- something you can't do in Australia.
Highly recommended and would we come back to stay? For sure!!!

We spent a few days in Barni. Elisabetta welcomed ...
We spent a few days in Barni. Elisabetta welcomed us on the first day and showed us around. During our stay she maked sure, we feel safe and asked if everything is fine.
The house was clean and spacious, also the garden, which has a pool, a nice BBQ area and lot of toys for the children. The kitchen was well equipped. There was also enough parking space for 3 cars.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Elisabeta is a very nice and kind host.

Liebe Elisabetta!
Wir durften in deiner großartigen Villa mit unserer "Großfamilie" eine Goldene Hochzeit feiern.
Für alle 17 Personen zwischen zwei und 71 Jahren war es ein grandioser Aufenthalt!
Wir haben das Haus mit all seinen Vorzügen so sehr gemocht, dass wir in der gesamten Woche nur einen einzigen Ausflug gemacht haben, obwohl du uns so viele geniale (Geheim-)Tipps gegeben hast...
Herzlichen Dank für Alles.
Es gab absolut nichts auszusetzen.

Initiation à la dolce vita
Nous avons passé un super séjour pour notre découverte de la région de Côme.
Un grand merci à notre hôte Elisabetta, pour sa disponibilité, son sens du serrvice et son envie de nous faire apprécier sa magnifique région.
La maison était parfois un peu limite pour un groupe aussi grand que le notre (23 personnes) mais sera idéal pour un groupe un peu plus petit.

Wonderful & helpful host
We loved having our board meeting retreat at Betty’s villa. She was a wonderful host and the house was nicely outfitted for our large group. The house had everything we needed for many days. Betty was extremely helpful about giving us tips for places to go to eat and buy supplies. She even helped us with some bookings when English was not spoken. The town of Barni is small and quaint with only about 300 residents, but this was perfect for us because we were using the villa for some seclusion and work. That said, it was not a far drive to Bellagio, which was terrific when we wanted to go out on the water and take a bit of time off to explore. The communication leading up to the dates of our rental was perfect and Betty was very responsive. I can wholeheartedly recommend Betty’s Barni Villa and know that anyone that chooses to stay there would have a wonderful time in the area.
