Just a 10 minute drive from the spectacular Gorges de l'Aveyron is Django, a tranquil haven and birdwatcher's paradise. Inside, the house sleeps 10 in comfort, and outside you can swim and sunbathe or play boules and table tennis.

From meals on the terrace, watching the stars to wildlife spotting and games in the garden, the house is a hideaway for the whole family and has plenty to keep everyone happy and occupied. Then on your doorstep you will find a beautiful landscape, mediaeval villages, picturesque walking trails, local markets, bars and restaurants and a whole host of outdoor pursuits. My neighbour will meet you soon after your arrival, and also to help with any questions you may have, as we do not live locally. There are details of places of interest in the house, and we can also advise via email. We want you to have as relaxing and trouble-free a holiday as possible.

Great local walks direct from the house. The spectacular medieval village is a short drive away for your morning croissants etc. Varied mature garden with lots of little corners to read your book or have a little snooze in! Lots of interesting towns to visit...More

The house is in an idyllic spot in a hamlet close to the attractive small town of Caylus. It is really comfortable with a very large open plan kitchen/dining/living room and a superb covered terrace. We've stayed several times, at different times of the year....More

The spacious living/dining room has a fully fitted kitchen area at one end and an attractive wood-burning fire with comfortable sofas at the other. The large utility room houses washing machine, drying and ironing equipment, a fridge-freezer and plenty of storage space.

Downstairs are two well-appointed double bedrooms, one with a king-size bed. Upstairs is a large double bedroom and a twin-bedded rom with an additional twin-bedded room leading off it. All bedrooms have spacious wardrobes and chests of drawers. There are fans in the bedrooms and the living-room to relieve the heat of summer nights. A 25% deposit is required to secure a reservation. The, balance, together with a €500 security deposit, is due eight weeks prior to the date of arrival. All renters must have valid holiday insurance. As there are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor, the house is suitable for people with limited mobility.

Caylus, a few kilometres from our house, is a mediaeval village nestling in the valley of the river Bonnette, a tributary of the Aveyron. There is a beautiful square and church with a renowned wooden sculpture of Christ by Ossip Zadkine, a contemporary of Picasso's. You'll find a select choice of restaurants and bars, perfect for sitting and watching the world go by. If you're feeling more energetic there are tennis courts, and plenty of walking and cycling trails through the gorgeous countryside.

Plane: Flights to Toulouse from several UK airports and to Brive from Stansted. Both airports are just over an hour's drive away.

Train: Caussade has a train link to/from Paris and Toulouse
