A two bedroom traditional Italian 4 storey stone built town house, located directly on the village square. It is situated in the Majella National Park and makes an ideal all year round holiday home. It is twenty minutes from the fantastic Adriatic beaches, 19 km to the ski fields and there are an array of beautiful mountain walks which are known to have wolves, bears and eagles and other fauna. - The sitting room has an open fire, TV, DVD, and fantastic views from the fitted kitchen. About the neighbourhood
The area of Serramonacesca is in the the Majella National Park famous for its flora and fauna. Serramonacesca is home to the famous Hermitage of Sant Onofrio and the Abbey of San Liberatore A Majella. There are a vast area of varying levels of walks, whether it be in the mountains, around a lake or through the many medieval villages. The village is vibrant and welcoming and has a good range of shops, bars and restaurants. It is 19 km to Passo Lanciano ski slopes 39 km to Pescara 2 hr 30 mins to Roma 3 hours to Napoli
Getting around
It is easy to hire cars from both Rome and Pescara airports. This will allow you the option of visiting the beautiful medieval villages, You can access the Adriatic beaches within 30 minutes. There are buses running through Serramonacesca but car hire is by far the easiest option and will give you the opportunity to explore the unspoilt region of Abruzzo.
