Coign 5 is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It is a modern home - large, airy and comfortable - one of a select group of 8 houses on the beachfront at Tangalooma. It is just a few short steps from the house to the family friendly beach. You can be building sand castles or swimming in the pristine blue waters just minutes after arriving.
The house has glorious panoramic views across Moreton Bay to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, an ever-changing scene with all manner of water craft slipping by on the bay all day.
If you keep your eyes open you will see dolphins swimming near the house, and during the winter migration season we have been seeing whales in the bay again over the past few years.

We have an on-island agent who can be contacted in the event that you need anything extra or have anything which may need attention, such as extra towels, or maybe a light globe, or in the event of some maintenance at the house which may need doing. About the neighbourhood
Our house is located on beautiful Moreton Island. The world's third largest sand island, it is a National Park, with four residential areas and a number of camping grounds.
It is only a short distance from Brisbane, some 32 kms by barge or ferry.
Getting around
The island is a national park and has no made roads, so you need a 4WD to get around the island, either by driving on the beaches, or on a number of sand tracks that criss-cross the island.

Airport: Brisbane International Airport: 32.0 km
Ferry: Tangalooma Resort Ferry, Pinkenba: 32.0 km
Travel on the island is by 4WD vehicles only.
You will need to either travel to the island via Tangalooma Resort's passenger ferry, bookings on their website, or via the barge which takes 4WD vehicles, again, bookings on their website, at Hawkins Transport or Micat.
If you come on the ferry, the Resort staff will transport your luggage from the ferry to the house, or to a luggage drop-off point near the house.
If you come with your own 4WD we will send you instructions on how to drive to the house.
