This cosy old Cotswold stone cottage is an ideal bolt-hole for those wishing to unwind, whatever the season. It is situated in the village of Chadlington in the Evenlode valley close to the Wychwood Forest, and offers superb countryside walks. Chadlington is well placed for exploring the many delightful Cotswold towns and villages close by. It is approximately 3 miles from Chipping Norton and less than 20 miles from Oxford, which can be reached by train from Charlbury station, itself only 3 miles away. Chadlington has an excellent village pub, general store and butchers shop and a childrens playground, all within easy walking distance of the cottage. Chipping Norton has a sports centre, theatre, Library and good shopping facilities and amenities. Picturesque Cotswold towns including Burford, Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water are a short drive away, as is the pretty riverside village of Lechlade on Thames. Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill is at nearby historic Woodstock. Also within easy reach are Oxford , Cheltenham, Stratford upon Avon and Warwick, with its stunning medieval castle. Other attractions in the area include: Cotswold Wild Life Park, nr Burford Guiting Power Rare Breed Farm (Adam Henson) Cogges Farm Museum, nr Witney Hidecote Manor Gardens (National Trust). The cottage has a cosy living room with sofa, colour TV, dvd and radio. The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Steep stairs lead to a double bedroom and a bathroom with bath and toilet. The sofa-bed in the living room allows additional sleeping accommodation if needed. The property also benefits from a garden room and secluded patio garden with furniture. A welcome pack with wine and homemade biscuits and marmalade is provided. All linen and electricity are included. One well-behaved pet is welcome - free of charge. More
