A good sized property in an excellent location, well-maintained and full equipped. We recommend. Easy access to Penrith and the Lakes in one direction and the Pennines in the other.

About the neighbourhood
We are very lucky in that, in spite of having the most glorious countryside in the whole of the country, the crowds tend to gravitate towards Windermere and Ambleside (South Lakes). The Northern Lakes nestle amongst the spectacular fells and those visiting on holiday tend to be blown away at the breath-taking views. Things to See/Do: Eden Benchmarks Long Meg & Her Daughters Lacey's Caves Lazonby Outdoor Swimming Pool Acorn Bank (National Trust) Rheged Rookin House Farm Larch Cottage Nurseries These are just a few of the local highlights worth a visit.
Getting around
There is a good bus and rail link from the village. The Carlisle/Settle railway runs through the village and you can often see steam trains thundering down the track.
