Warm & cosy bunkhouse for up to 12 adults in gorgeous rural location in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Right on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, close to fantastic climbing at Castlemartin Range East & West, the excellent surfing at Freshwater West & Broadhaven South, and within striking distance of many of Pembrokeshire's best (and unspoilt, especially if you're used to the hordes in Devon & Cornwall) beaches, countryside, castles, river walks, Neolithic remains, geological formations, charming pubs, film locations and other places of interest. The bunkhouse is in a single story stone built former Dairy, with purpose-built robust and generously-sized bunkbeds for up to 12 active adults (no measly kids bunkbeds to squeeze into). All mattresses are orthopaedic & hypo-allergenic, so you'll get a good night's sleep even after the most energetic day. Complete with wet room and Ladies & Gents toilets. Being single storey with no internal steps & only a very low doorstep to negotiate at the entrance, we're accessible to those with limited mobility, though not specifically designed for it. Ask for more info. The bunkhouse is well supplied with all you need to make a hot cuppa of tea & coffee and opens on to a small enclosed courtyard for cooking, dining and chilling. Please note that the bunkhouse does not have indoor cooking facilities or socialising space and it is our only dog-free zone. If you need to feed a group or plan to bring a dog, you may wish to consider booking one or more of our beautiful bell tents, which each sleep up to eight. They come complete with campfire and outside kitchen, and are dog friendly. The bell tents are also much more suitable for families with children under 10, as there is no suitable floor space for cots in the bunkhouse and the original slate floors are a little unforgiving when they tumble! History fans may enjoy the unusual shape of the toilet cubicles, which are curved where they back on to an original medieval bread oven, and spotting the year the Dairy was extended to its current size carved into a wooden beam (over 150 years ago). The bunkhouse also has good views of the medieval St Mary's Church to the sea beyond. You may even be able to see Lundy Island on a clear day. Nature fans may be lucky enough to spot badgers & our visiting barn owl at the farm. Or otters, seals, bats, puffins, etc. elsewhere in Pembrokeshire. Please note that we are in a remote rural location near to an Army Tank Training Range: - there is no mobile signal at all for most providers; - we'll endeavour to provide wireless internet access, but can't guarantee it at all times; - depending on Army manoeuvres, there may be noise. This is usually only Monday to Friday during the day, with occasional firing up to 10 pm. It's nowhere near as noisy as you'd think, and also quite interesting to watch with the flares & tracer fire!; - facilities (such as pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops & petrol stations) are all a drive away. There is a bus service, but you are highly recommended to drive as it is infrequent and changes route depending on firing. We have plenty of parking space for cars, vans and even campervans across our site but only limited parking in the farmyard.More

We camped in the field rather than using the bunkhouse for sleeping, but still used the facilities. The Farm is in a gr eat location, handy for Freshwater West which is the best surfing beach in my opinion, and also has Cafe Mor for lobster...More

We had many high hopes for the weekend, and although the weather scuppered most of them, the accommodation did not disappoint. The beds were very comfortable, and the facilities easily coped with the high numbers of us, and it had to work quite hard because...More

Comfortable, warm bunkhouse nice and close to the sea. We were asked if we were climbing or surfing - we're climbers and the whole set of guide books were there for us to borrow when we arrived. Just one of many welcoming touches. Just like...More

We recently stayed at the bunkhouse for a stag do. The accommodation couldn't have been more perfect for what we wanted: good outside space for bbqs and games; big kitchen with plenty of room; one big room with great beds to sleep us all; and...More

Ah, you weren't so noisy... apart from when you'd found the dinner bell! Don't think we've had a group making so much use of our wonderful location & all the opportunities on offer locally: karting, surfing, coasteering and so on (plus at least one that...More

About the neighbourhood
The farm is right down on the far south west tip of Pembrokeshire, which makes it the ideal place for: - great surfing beaches at Freshwater West (surf school available) & Broadhaven South - amazing climbing at Castlemartin Range East & West - one of the 3 best long distance walks in the world: the Pembrokeshire Coast Path - super swimming beaches at Barafundle (often voted the best beach in the UK) and Freshwater East (not to mention one or two 'secret' beaches - you'll have to sweet-talk us to share their location) - nipping to Stackpole Quay, for scuba diving from the shore (no boat needed!) and jumping off the Quay at high tide into our crystal clear waters - sightseeing at St Govan's Chapel, Pembroke Castle (with the biggest keep in the country & birthplace of Henry ...
Getting around
We strongly recommend bringing or hiring a car to make the most of Pembrokeshire. The Coastal Cruiser (bus service) is great, but you'll see more if you drive. Cycling is also an option, but be warned - it does get quite hilly! The bus services are limited, so we recommend that you have access to a car for the best experience.
