This beautiful 250 year old Farmhouse has been lovingly restored with much attention to detail. It is our family home, so don't expect cool perfection, but mismatched crockery, a fully equipped kitchen and stocked larder with condiments for the enthusiastic chef. There is a comfortable living room with a unconnected TV and DVD player, fast wireless internet (well, fast for rural France), a huge wild garden with old trees, a trampoline and swing and a 11 x 4m inground saltwater swimming pool, which we keep at 28 degrees for perfect swimming even on cooler days in spring or autumn. The pool has an electric hard cover which complies to French safety regulations. Three bedrooms on the first floor share one bathroom with bath, toilet and two sinks. On the mezzanine ground floor you will find one double bedroom with balcony and steps into the garden, a shower wet room with toilet and a smaller living room with steps into the kitchen garden. The main living room is in the huge converted barn. You'll find a big squashy sofa, a large oak table which seats 12 people, access to the utility room with washing machine, a shower room and a further bedroom. It has 2 mezzanine floors, one with a pool table, television and sofa, and one with a writing desk and a comfortable armchair . The swimming pool is absolutely wonderful, and we have a selection of huge pool cushions, deck chairs and sun loungers at your disposal. Other Things to Note We only take bookings for a minimum of one week, arrival Saturday after 4pm, checkout Saturdays 10am. We have all sorts of outdoor toys, bicycles in the garage and a big trampoline that you are free to use. This is deepest rural France, so the wireless internet is not of the same speed than in London, but still fast enough to watch movies. We have a TV with DVD player, but the television is not connected yet. Liquid laundry detergent available. We offer linen and towels, but please bring your own pool towels. More

My husband and I had a lovely stay in this property, it’s on the far edge of a village so very peaceful. The back garden and pool area is completely private and a lovely space to soak up the sun. Pool is fantastic and looked...More

We will be in the UK, but there is an english speaking person nearby who can help you should you encounter any problems. We are also available by phone. Someone takes care of the garden and pool, and every effort is taken that this does not interfere with your stay.

About the neighbourhood
The countryside around Crozant is stunning, beautiful villages and small towns await exploration, kajaking on the river Creuse, waterskiing on nearby Lake Chambon, plenty of restaurants for all budgets, walking, fishing - if you like unspoilt countryside, you are in for a treat. Argenton Sur Creuse and La Soutterraine are small towns, our nearest villages with big super markets are Eguzon and Dun Le Palestel. There are two fantastic bakeries and small shops within a short drive in Crozant and St Sebastien.
Getting around
We are on the edge of a small village, but the farmhouse is very secluded and you will need a car to get around.
