Set in the Argentine Lake district in the heart of Patagonia, La Rinconada Ranch occupies 880 acres of pristine alpine environment. This rural setting is ten minutes drive from the north entrance to the huge Los Alerces National Park with its glacier fed rivers, lakes, and world class fly-fishing.
When you wake up in the original farmhouse from your cozy bed, you will find yourself living on a farm complete with barns, out-buildings, workshops, a greenhouse and even a yoga studio. Organic gardening and farm-fresh eggs are all part of the fun. Our ranch managers will be available if you need anything. Can't wait to return to La Rinconada!
This was my fourth visit to this amazing place and my first time to visit in the late fall. First, the location of the ranch is amazing, the incredible Andes mountain views will knock you out. The ranch has everything you need for an adventure in this remote location. The towels and linens are five star, the gardens are lovely and you will enjoy that this is a working ranch with animals, fresh flowers, veggies and herbs, hiking trails, a yoga studio, a pool and hot tub, outdoor asado, wood burning fireplaces and all the romance of the gaucho lifestyle. One of the main attractions is the fly fishing and you can easily get set up with a guide to hit all the best spots surrounding the ranch. The ranch has horses and a gaucho to get you up on the saddle to get to remote spots or just to enjoy an easy ride. Another incredible attraction is the national park down the road called Los Alerces with gorgeous trails to walk and marvel at the scenery.
This is a rare place, remote, pristine and beautiful. I cannot wait to go back with my family!
