The Cottage is located on a quiet back road 5 minutes walk from Dunfanaghy. The cottage overlooks the New Lake which is a wildlife sanctuary. The beach of Tramore is just behind the lake and at night you can listen to the breakers crash onto the beach while watching the sunset from the terrace. The house was fully renovated 2 years ago. It has 2 double and 1 single bedroom. With a brand new kitchen, bathroom, new wooden flooring, new carpets, beds and sofas. It was repainted through out. There are two sitting rooms. One at the front with glass windows all around over looking the lake. The second sitting room also over looks the lake but is part of the dining room/kitchen and has a log burning stove for cosy nights in. The heating is provided by electric radiators in each room as well as the log burning stove. There are also electric blankets on every bed. The cottage is a great base to explore this beautiful part of the world. It is a 5 minute walk into the village via a flat, quiet road. But once in the house the view over the lake and the privacy makes you feel that you are miles from anyone. The Village has great bars, cafes, award winning restaurants, a great deli. Plus surf schools, a horse riding stable, yoga studio and cycle hire. Glenveagh National Park and Castle is 20 mins away. Glebe House and Gallery is also 20 mins away. Ards Forest Park is 10 mins away. More

Interaction with guests
I live in Belfast which is 2.5 hrs drive from Dunfanaghy. But as this is my holiday home and I have being going all of my life and went to school in the village I know it very well! I am very happy to help with suggestions about what to see, where to go and where to eat. Sarah is my cleaning lady and lives 10 mins away if there are any immediate problems. I am just a phone call away!
