About the neighbourhood
Waterville 7 km away Is a seaside village with supermarkets, pubs and restaurants & a local night club, watersports & fishing. . With its top links golf course. Great views, driving, walking & cycling opportunities. It hosts the world comedy film festival supported by the Chaplin family. Waterville lakes excellent destination for fishing walking or exploring. Gaeltacht speaking Ballinskelligs approx. 3 kms away with blue flag beach ideal for horseriding & its now famous Skelligs Rocks featured in Star wars.. Derrynane my favourite beach a littler further along the coast. Portmagee is approx. 10 km and hosts regular set dancing Derrynane a little further along the coast is surely Europes best family beach in my opinion.
Getting around
To get around the area, biking walking or horseriding are a great way of getting around if this is what you like doing. Otherwise a car is the usual way of arriving and departing and visiting the area.
