Spend some relaxing time in our restored 1979 caravan- very retro, very sweet and cosy. It has two single beds, a small hob, fridge and a gas heater. It is located in our old orchard- there is a shower block nearby which has one shower, two toilets and a sink. This facility is shared by a maximum of four people at any one time. The price includes breakfast- a selection of home made bread, jams, muesli, fruit, yogurt, organic eggs or pancakes. We can also cater for people on a dairy free or vegan diet. I stayed in the gypsy wagon which was absolutely gorgeous, clean and quaint. I would highly recommend it as it is in a beautiful location outside Kenmare town. My favourite place to stay so far in Ireland

My husband and I rented motorcycles from Retroventures in Adare, Ireland for our 10th anniversary. We were set up to stay two nights in the vintage gypsy wagon. What an amazing experience! It was our favorite accommodation of our trip. Marie is a lovely hostess!...More

Perhaps sleeping in a caravan is not for everyone, but for those who appreciate something a bit different and unusual, in a beautiful park like setting and an extraordinary part of the Irish countryside. It is not too far from Kerry Penisula or from Kenmare...More

About the neighbourhood
This location provides a good base for hill walkers and for people who enjoy peace and tranquility. There is a pub and restaurant within 5km of here. We are also within driving distance of the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara-both of which are very scenic. We are 2 miles from the sea and Dereen Gardens. A nice idea for a day trip would be to take the tunnel road from Kenmare to Glengarriff, possibly stopping off at Lorges chocolatiers, Molly Galvins traditional Irish farm or Ewe Sculpture Garden- drive back to Adrigole-over the Healy Pass with amazing views of Glenmore Lake and back home. There are also a number of interesting archaeological sites in this locality which we can direct to you. If you like, we can pack a picnic for your day out- or prepare a meal for you on your return.
