This 300 year old traditional Scottish cottage is reputed to have had the world famous Scottish poet Robert Burns as a guest.

The Whilk Cottage is in a in fantastic seaside setting with open views across to Ailsa Craig, Arran and Kintyre. Adjacent to the beach at the sheltered Whilk Bay, Lendalfoot. Close to the famous Sawney Bean and Snib Scott's caves. Local golf courses at Girvan and Turnberry. River, sea and pond fishing. Playstation 3 with Netflix and free wi-fi broadband for your own laptop. Internet TV available via your own laptop. Linen available at extra cost. Wood for open fire at extra cost.

The cottage has basic facilities with minimal modern development. Quaint and atmospheric a number of honeymoon couples have chosen this cottage for its charm. There is a modern outside shared toilet/shower

The Whilk is a beautiful traditional cottage located right on the coast. The views across the coast are simply breathtaking and with a great beach just a 60 second walk away. The cottage is cosy, charming and bright. We highly recommend you pay a visit....More

We travelled from Manchester..this was my 50th birthday and I couldn't ask for more..what a lovely place! amazing cottage with its own history ,where time stops and brings memories of the past times..,well equipped ,binoculars were very handy we were using them to watch seals...More

We stayed at the Whilk for 3 nights and it was awesome! I highly recommend exploring every corner of the cottage to begin with. Then check out the cave of the last caveman to live in Scotland. ( ask Donald and he will gladly direct...More
