Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Lovely spacious house
Stayed last week in August, lovely house well situated, 20 minute walk into Portstewart. Great kitchen/ dining area leading out to a small enclosed garden, perfect for us and our pup. Bedrooms all decent size, we had a great stay helped by the warm, sunny weather.

Something for everyone!
Dont overlook this bright spacious holiday home! It was our first stay in Portstewart and we arrived with our 19 and 16 yr old daughters. This property is so handy to everywhere and indeed i walked to the promenade every morning(15 mins away) The amazing strand beach Is a 5 - 10 minute drive( sure you need a car for all the ‘stuff’ you drag to the beach anyway! The quality of the food in all the restaurants we tried was of a really good quality. There is so much to see along that coastline if you get a cloudy day you will not be stuck. Friends arrived up with their two rescue dogs, so the totally enclosed sunny garden was perfect and secure. Lastly the owner Janine could have been more accommodating and responded quickly to any query we had.

Excellent - perfect for teenagers and families ( or all ages)
I was absolutely delighted with my stay here over the summer. The house looked very fresh and modern and the back garden had a BBQ and a patio furniture that we throughly enjoyed. As a teenager myself I was SO appreciated of the WIFI and sky TV! - Thankyou! Also , the park was only a 15 minute walk and once you were there you were more less straight into the town. There is also a tescos close by which is also a 15 minute walk which was very helpful for my parents. The beach is also close by within walking distance and It's a lovely setting walking down to. There is plenty of atmosphere down in the promenade at night and it is a safe environment for younger ones as there are plenty of families out. Overall , I would highly recommend staying here as it's suitable for all ages and families and infact my family have booked here again for this summer. Thankyou so much!!

Clean basic house
Clean house, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen but a bit tatty round the edges. I didn't realise towels and sheets not provided - the owner provided them at the last minute which bumped up the price by £50. It's very much a "rental house" rather than a home, with an impersonal "student house" feel. There are self closing doors on every room that slam shut and door wedges to keep them open. On an estate with lots of other large houses to rent - many with a board up for the same rental company. Next door were very noisy at night. About 30mins walk from the beach; another review mentioned sending a child out to the prom to buy ice cream but that must be another house as there were lots of roads to cross and it wouldn't have felt safe. Would have been nice to have had a clothes airer and a kitchen bin. It worked for us for a weekend as we were out a lot but it didn't feel very cosy or homely. Sorry to be so negative - it was very clean and we appreciated the towels etc but I thought it was expensive for what it was. Perhaps it's just a pricey area as the causeway coast is a stunning part of the world.

Hi Joanne - I'm glad you appreciated the cleanliness of the house and the comfortable beds and apologies that the bin and airer had not been replaced. We have now rectified this though the noisy neighbours unfortunately could not be addressed as I never knew about it . This house is sizeable and is very popular for families and groups getting together. We dress the house with tasteful pictures, cushions, throws and some ornaments to create warmth whilst not cluttering the house. The sky + package, wifi, unlimited heating and electricity within the price makes it a very affordable holiday and far from basic living. This is also the reason for the doorstops - to give people a choice on whether they want to keep the doors open or not. In terms of the walk into town there is 1 main road to cross and has been used successfully for years by children (including my own) to walk into town. I appreciate you read the ad incorrectly regarding bed linen and towels and I shall modify my Ad to show these as a separate request for people who would like these provided.

Fantastic Property
Fantastic property with plenty of space for relaxing. Very comfortable house with all the things you would need to make it feel like a home away from home! Very handy location to Portstewart and not much further to Portrush etc.

Great location, lots of bedrooms
Had a fantastic stay, the location is perfect for walking into Portstewart and the proximity of the nearby tesco is very handy. The house itself is very nice as are each of the bedrooms.

Perfectly situated, home from home holiday rental
Perfect location and beautifully decorated clean and comfortable house. This is our 7th year renting with the owner and have never been disappointed - thank you! The location itself is perfect for all age groups . It is a safe area which has allowed my children from the age of 7 to enjoy walking to the promenade in the evening for ice cream and play in the beach park. The beach is in walking distance and lovely for a stroll in the morning with or without the dog and great to finish of with a coffee from one of the many coffee shops on the promenade which have plenty of outdoor seating. The Herring Pond, which is massive rock pool by the harbour is brilliant for tinies and teens alike and if like me me you forget your wetsuits, TESCO sells them cheap and again it is in walking distance to the house! The promenade is always a great place to go in the evening with plenty of entertainment happening around the park with lots of great ice cream shops. There are plenty of places to eat to suit all budgets for both families and couples alike. This year we will be returning with an 18, 16 & 11 year old so the free WIFI is a must and the 3 levels to this property is great for allowing everyone their own space and privacy. The house itself is beautiful with the back garden basking in sun all day. It's clean, modern and every year we have been it has been repainted or refurnished in some way. Perfect in every way!

Fantastic Accommodation and Fabulous Location
The whole family enjoyed a wonderful holiday on the north atlantic coast thanks to this perfect holiday rental which is more like a home from home. This is a really lovely comfortable house, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The location is fabulous and I really enjoyed being able to walk our dog to nearby beaches and the town for an early morning coffee. Our sons visited for part of our stay and made the most of the nearby nightlife but for me the scenery and restaurants were a real highlight. Perfect for all ages I am already looking forward to going back again in 2016!!
