About the neighbourhood
Portstewart is located on the famous Causeway Coast, a short, scenic drive away from the UNESCO listed Giant's Causeway. It makes a great base from which to explore the area nominated by Lonely Planet as the top tourist destination for 2018. Natural beauty is all around in outstanding sandy beaches, a rugged basalt and chalk coastline, secluded harbours and coves and the magnificent Glens of Antrim.
The area's natural beauty complements the many leisure activities on offer including world class golf courses, walking, swimming, diving, fishing, surfing, cycling to name but a few. Excellent restaurants abound up and down the coast and the worlds oldest licensed whiskey distillery is at nearby Bushmills.
Getting around
By far the best way to partake of the plethora of attractions the Causeway Coast has to offer is by car. The main rail and bus terminal is located in Coleraine, the capital of the Causeway Coast, and ten minutes drive from the apartment. There are regular public bus connections between local towns. From Coleraine frequent bus and rail services operate to Belfast city Centre, Derry/Londonderry and to Dublin and the south of Ireland.

Railway: Coleraine : 8.0 km
Ferry: Larne: 85.0 km
From Belfast International Airport it is less than an hour drive from Antrim. Take the A26 heading north towards Coleraine and from there follow the signage for Portstewart. From Belfast City (George Best) Airport head north along the M2 and take the Coleraine exit to join the A26. If arriving by ferry at Larne take the A36 towards Ballymena to join the M2/A26 and on to Coleraine.
Coleraine is on the railway line between Derry/Londonderry and Belfast. Buses depart from Coleraine rail and bus terminal and drop off along Portstewart Promenade.
Access to the apartment is via a security gate situated on Church St which runs parallel to the Promenade.
