About the neighbourhood
Foelgastell is just off the A48 so it is quickly accessible to the road network (the Cottage is 8 minutes from the end of the M4). Drive to Burry Port o Pembrey Country Park for 8 miles of award winning Cefan Sidan Beach. These are about 30 minutes away. The Black Mountain in the Brecon Beacons has a fabulous road to try - you may have seen it on Top Gear - and the Brecon Beacons are 45 minutes drive. Or you can just walk in the quiet lanes or the woods and historic limestone quarry at the bottom of the Cottage garden. Our nearby farmshop provides excellent local meat and dairy products. 2 microbreweries in the next villages for those who like real beers. Some guests just like to chill out here because it is so tranquil. On a clear night you can sit on the terrace and watch the stars. ...
How to get there
We are 1 hour 10 minutes from the Severn Bridge and all but the last 1000 metres is on dual carriageway. A sat nav will bring you to our gate. Just put in SA14 7EU. We are easy to reach and also very peaceful, a world away from the rush of life. It is blissfully quiet here.
