The "bracket" is a stone house 300 years old, located in the historic heart of the city of Birkirkara. It is ideal for visitors looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday. It is also located close to the University and Mater Dei Hospital for people wishing to reside nearby. This house is furnished with care, in compliance with the Maltese tradition, while adding a touch of modernity. Each room has its unique atmosphere, allowing you to choose the one you prefer. All rooms on the ground floor are situated around a private courtyard with table, chairs, bench, parasol and barbecue. There is also a toilet on this level. An internal stone staircase leads to the upper floors, serving 4 rooms for up to 9 people (3 doubles and 3 singles). Each stage, first and second, has a bathroom with a toilet. The 2nd floor bathroom is adjacent to one of the two rooms. You can find a room used as a dressing for the first rooms, where you can find a crib and a baby stroller, made available to travelers. All bedding and towels are provided. A washing machine is on the 2nd level, just below the terrace, which is currently available: you can extend your machine and take the chairs located in the lounge before the roof to rest during the coolest hours of the evening and admire the surrounding view. You can also dry your clothes in the dryer located in the bottom of the bathroom of the first floor. Hairdryer, iron and first aid kit are also available in the bathroom of the first floor. About the neighbourhood
Enjoy the tranquility of this small town of the interior, which has the privilege of being away from crowded areas of the coast and allows you to be at the heart of Maltese life. The neighborhood is nice, with the advantage of having a market twice a week, where you will find vegetables, fruits, fish, but also clothes, bags, etc ... It is also close to many nice places (as restaurants, bars ...) and various shops open all week, at reasonable prices. Close to home, is Santa Helena Church, one of the oldest churches in Malta.
Getting around
transport side; you do not really need a car as Birkirkara is the heart of a dense network of bus lines (5 minutes walk from the house) to get anywhere on the island to Valletta, beautiful beaches north as the Bay of Saint Paul, the archaeological temple of Hagar Qim, magnificent natural sites such as the Blue Grotto or the walled city of Mdina, where the worm can wander around and taste the best pastries in the 'island. But if you decide to rent a car, you will have the ability to easily park in front of the house or in the adjacent streets, except on market days (Wednesday and Friday), where you have to be careful to park outside the location.
