The Meeting Place is in the village of Llangynidr, a few minutes walk from two excellent pubs. There is also a good general shop with a post office - so a walk not a drive for a morning newspaper. The village has new Hard Tennis Courts (£5.00 per hour) in the adjacent playing fields. Ideal for extended families with elder grandparents - downstairs bedroom - warm and well renovated. Popular as a meeting place for friends and groups who want to enjoy the many local activities such as walking, climbing, cycling, canoeing, caving, exploring the surrounding countryside in the The Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. Just a few minutes walk along the lane to the canal with the many boats and the locks - good for a stroll, or down the lane to The River Usk. This is also a perfect location for Ebbw Vale, Brynmawr and The Welsh Valleys with The Heads of The Valleys Road only 15 minutes drive over Llangynidr Mountain. Visit The Chartist Cave, the ancient stone platforms from neolithic times, The Bevan Memorial and try to find the site of a crashed World War 2 Bomber - but one of the best things is the truly stunning views over miles of welsh rolling countryside with Llangorse Lake and the mountains spread out below - a really good place for a picnic.More

What a wonderful surprise when we drew up outside 'The Meeting Place', set in a lovely little village in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. The house was perfect for us, we were a family with 3 generations, and the grand-children just loved their bedroom,...More

Fantastic property in a beautiful village just out of Crickhowell within walking distance to two pubs. We had a wonderful time and the proprietors couldn't do enough for us, very accommodating friendly people. I've only given four stars because the beds weren't very comfortable but...More

Thanks for the positive feedback. We’ll Look into the beds as this is the first time we have had a negative comment about them. The king size has an excellent mattress but if the centre support is dislodged the bed sinks.

We couldn’t have asked for more, it’s a lovely cottage, walking distance from a great pub and close to everything we wanted to visit. A big thank you to our hosts who were so welcoming and kind!
