Belveze-du-Razes, Aude, Occitanie
Our home is a 350 year old house is a small quaint village right in the middle of wine country. It is the perfect base camp for almost any activity you can think of. We are 30 minutes from the mountains, 1 hour to the Mediterranean Sea, 20 minutes from the city of Carcassonne, which has the largest double walled castle in all of Europe. We are right in the middle of Cather Country so there are Castles and Abbeys all over to explore. Also within 30 minutes of the house are many caves that are simply breath taking. The town has everything you need for supplies and for major shopping there are several large cities within an hour driving time.

Whether you are a skier or a shopper make sure to visit the country of Andorra, one of Europe's smallest countries. Duty free shopping, tons of restaurants and great skiing are just a couple of t...

Interaction with guests
We value our guests and want them to make lasting memories of their vacation. We will be just a phone call away and are more than happy to answer any questions whether it be about the house or just someplace to go. Give us a call or send us an email, we will happily answer and help out any way we can. We go over and vacation at least once a year and we always make sure we get information and write down cool and interesting places that we find. Our experience is that the best places are not in the tour guides but on the side roads and little towns that people don't really know about yet. We have found cool villages, many great caves to explore, countless wineries and castles.

About the neighbourhood
The village is a small wine country town with about 1000 people. Although it is small, it is well appointed with everything you need to be comfortable safe.

In town you will find a nicely stocked grocery store, a great butcher shop with the worlds best ham (at least in my opinion), a little convenience store, a small family owned bakery with great Cressets , breads and desserts. There is also a very nice modern pharmacy, hair salon and massage place along with a hardware store and at the end of town an cool pottery shop.

If you are looking for some sports you will like the tennis courts, public swimming pool, soccer field, Bache ball court and a small like to walk around or just sit and enjoy the ducks and people fishing.
Getting around
The best and just about the only way to get around is by car so make sure you pick up something that you feel comfortable in to drive.
Car recommended
How to get there
Airport: Toulouse-Blagnac Airport: 89.0 km
Railway: gare de Carcassonne: 31.0 km
Our property is almost exactly an hour from Toulouse. So the best way to get there is by flying into Toulouse - Blagnac airport. once you pick up your rental car its almost a straight shot to highway A61, get on it and head south, once you get to Bram exit it just a few miles back through the country side. We will supply you with exact turn by turn directions.

Another good way is from Blagnac airport take the train to Carcassonne and rent a car there. Then you only have a 20 minute drive to the house.
