Less than a 2-minute drive or a short walk to the heart of Coral Bay’s restaurants and shops! The location is ideal for spending the day either out at Maho or the East End beaches, which are both a 10 minute drive away. Skinny Leg's, Rhumb Lines and the Coral Bay dinghy dock are all a short walk from the villa as well. You will find everything you need for a wonderful vacation. The road leads up to a paved driveway with plenty of room for parking. Hard to find on St. John! Full kitchen is equipped with all you will need for those nights you wish to dine in. The water at Villa Madeline is filtered and treated with a UV light and is ready right out of the faucet for your enjoyment. No need for plastic water bottles here! Located off of the kitchen is a half bath and laundry room equipped with a full-sized washer and dryer for your use. The open-air living area extends from the kitchen where you will find your in-home entertainment. Dish TV and Wi-Fi included. The main living area is equipped with AC and also features two large screened slider doors that look out over Coral Bay and allow the trade winds to circulate throughout. Exit through the glass sliders out onto the wrap around porch on the upper level where you can enjoy coffee in the morning while watching the sunrise over East End. Exterior staircase takes you to the pool deck and lower-level bedrooms. Private pool overlooks Coral Bay. On the pool deck you will also find an outdoor shower with beautiful stonework as well as a bar area with gas grill for dining al fresco. Descend the steps a little further to reach the two lower bedrooms. Each bedroom is equipped with queen size beds, en suite bathrooms and individual AC units. Slider doors off of the bedrooms lead out onto the lower-level wrap around porch. The villa is perfect for one or two couples! 6 night minimum stay required. About the neighbourhood

Estate Eden is a quiet neighborhood located in Coral Bay. It is one of a few neighborhoods within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. Skinny Legs, Rhumb Lines and the Coral Bay Dinghy dock are all a short walk from the villa. Centrally located to beaches as well, Maho on the North Shore or the East End beaches are both a 10 minute drive.

Getting around

It is important to consider your on-island transportation needs at the same time you are booking your villa and purchasing your plane tickets. Especially in peak season, but very often all year, it can be difficult to arrange for a rental vehicle last minute. Reserve your vehicle as soon as you commit to your stay. Though it is possible to rent a vehicle on St Thomas, we highly recommend reserving your car on St. John. For an explanation of that recommendation and much more information or assistance on rental vehicles please ask. Most villas require a 4-wheel drive. All vehicles are similar to US cars - driver is operating on the left. However, prepare to drive on the LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD.

How to get there

There is a very important protocol for meeting, greeting and doing business with people in the Virgin Islands. Go Slow; take time to make eye contact, smile and greet everyone you meet with a 'Good Morning,' 'Good Afternoon' or 'Good Evening' before starting to do business. 'Island Time' is Slow, Easy and Polite. When you arrive at the Cyril E. King Airport (STT) you will be on the west end of the island of St. Thomas. Once you have collected your luggage, exit the building and you will find the Taxis waiting to take you to the Ferry Terminal at Red Hook on the east end of the island. After greeting the Concierge, let him know you are traveling to St John; he will put you into the appropriate taxi. Taxi fares are set and there is a charge per bag for large luggage. It is customary to tip both the taxi driver and the luggage handlers on the dock. Carry cash in small denominations for this portion of your journey to cover taxi shuttle, tips, and ferry ride. Porters are available for hire to help you with your luggage at the Red Hook and the Cruz Bay ferry docks as well as the airport. Most, if not all of these transactions, are done in cash. You will arrive on St. John at the Cruz Bay dock; this is the only pedestrian ferry dock on St. John. Before you arrive at the dock, we will have made arrangements by phone or text as to where we will meet you and how we will show you to your villa.
